SEVEN have been killed and 15 injured when a luxury bus plunged into a 200ft gorge after slamming through a barrier.
The driver lost control at around 4.15am and the vehicle, carrying 48 pilgrims, went through a crash barrier and fell about 35ft from the road.
Cops in Gujrat, India, said five people died instantly and 17 were taken to hospital with two later dying of their injuries.
Photos showed the smashed-up blue double-decker bus at the bottom of the gorge with the roof entirely collapsed.
The pilgrims were from Madhya Pradesh, a large state in central India, and were on their way to Dwarka in Gujarat.
The tragedy comes after 30 people were killed in a crowd stampede at the mega religious festival Kumbh Mela.

APPLE could be weeks away from unveiling a new budget-friendly iPhone, if rumours hold true.
The hyped-up handset was notably missing from the iPhone 16 launch in September last year.
But rumours of a fourth iPhone SE model have circulated the web since February 2023.
The tech giant has not released an iPhone SE, its cheapest model type, since 2022.
Leaked images from well-known tipster Majin Bu show what could be the new iPhone SE 4 – which may also be called the iPhone 16E.
The new handset is expected to have a flat-edged 6.06-inch OLED display, a significant upgrade from the iPhone SE 3’s 4.7-inch LCD panel.
Apple is also anticipated to axe the Home Button once and for all.
In terms of camera, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to come with a single 48MP rear lens – which is on par with the iPhone 16.
For selfies, the device may get a 12MP front-facing camera.
It doesn’t look like Apple’s newer Dynamic Island design will be making it to the iPhone SE 4 – though Apple could still surprise us.
However, there are some new features ahead.
The iPhone SE 4 may carry Apple’s newer A-series chip and 8GB of RAM.
This will should give it enough power to run new Apple Intelligence features.
No home button would also mean no Touch ID.
The new model is expected to ring the final death knell for the beloved Touch ID fingerprint scanner, which will be replaced with Face ID.
In light of new EU regulations, all future iPhone models must have a USB-C charging port – and the iPhone SE 4 is unlikely to be an exception.
Several reports suggest Apple has set the iPhone SE 4 release date for March 2025.
Though it may arrive slightly later.
The three previous SE models have all been announced in either March or April.
The iPhone SE 3, which was released alongside the iPhone 14, ranged from $429/£449 to $579/£609.
That is a far more inviting price than the iPhone 14 Pro, which retailed at $999/£1,099.
The iPhone SE 2 clocked a slightly lower price tag, ranging from $399/£419 and $549/£569.
So a slight increase in price from its predecessor, the iPhone SE 3, seems likely.
