‘My face must not fit’ – Rob Cross hits back at Sky Sports after being left off Darts Premier League promo poster
ROB CROSS has laughed off suggestions of a conspiracy after he was left off Sky Sports promos for the Darts Premier League.
The former world champion, 34, begins his challenge for the title in Belfast on Thursday night.

Voltage was left off a promotional poster on Tuesday after the broadcaster signed a bumper new five-year TV deal with the PDC.
All eight of his Premier League Darts rivals were included in the promo, along with women’s trailblazers Fallon Sherrock and Beau Greaves.
Asked about being left off the poster, Cross joked: “Obviously my face must not fit.
“It’s one of them – but they’re still going to be seeing me for 16 weeks now.
“I’m not really too bothered. I’ve never really played darts for the limelight, I’m not one of those people.”
Cross won the world title in 2018 but has struggled to regularly hit the heights of his World No. 1 form over the past three years.
He crashed out at Ally Pally in the second round in December – and suffered a shock loss to qualifier William O’Connor at last week’s Masters.

Voltage prefers to shun the limelight – and admits it was tough to adjust to his new-found fame after topping the world seven years ago.
Cross continued: “Some people thrive off it.
“When I won the World Championship, was I ready to be in the spotlight? Probably not.
“Did I really want to be in the spotlight? Probably not.
“But I did it, I fronted it, and I learnt a lot that year.
“I’m just happy as long as the cheque hits the bank at the weekend and I can feed the family on Monday.”
Cross will go up against Bunting, Chris Dobey, Gerwyn Price, Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen, Nathan Aspinall and Luke Humphries in this year’s Premier League.

“The extraordinary story of last year’s World Championship helped to welcome new younger audiences to the sport and brought increased excitement for fans.

I spent £40k celebrating my baby girl’s three-month-old birthday but trolls say the big bash was ‘all about me’
A MUM who shelled out a whopping £40,000 on her daughter’s third-month-old birthday party has been accused of making the bash “all about” her.
Nancy explained in a video on her Instagram page that she’s determined to “celebrate every milestone” as daughter Sky grows up.
A mum has been slammed by trolls after making her daughter’s three-month-old birthday celebration “all about her”[/caption]And that means when it comes to her baby girl’s ‘100 days’ on Earth, Nancy decided to go all out.
“I know spending $49,000 (£39,919) on my daughter’s three-month-old birthday is a little bit outrageous, but come along with me,” she began the clip.
Nancy then showed herself getting her hair and make-up done, before she donned her party outfit – a sexy strapless dress.
After that, she headed to the glam restaurant to make sure “everything was perfect”.
“The setup was so beautiful,” she gushed.
“The theme is red, pink, and gold and we’ve been planning for this celebration since I was pregnant.
“I was so ready and so excited to see all my family and friends.”
As well as a huge arch and tonnes of balloons, all the tables were decked out in red and gold tablecloths.
There were also giant light-up letters spelling out her daughter’s name.
Nancy then showed that the party descended into an adults-only celebration, as she and her friends took shots and stayed out until the early hours after dancing the night away.
“It was so fun getting to see everyone and talk to everyone. We stayed out till 6am,” she admitted.
“I was so exhausted, but I love making memories with my family and my friends.”
However, in the comments section of the Instagram video, Nancy was blasted for making the occasion “all about” her.
“You threw yourself a party,” one wrote.
“Just say it like it is!”
“None of this was about the daughter,” another added.
Tamara Ecclestone's no expense spared approach to parenting
WHEN it comes to her daughters, Tamara Ecclestone spares absolutely no expense.
She always lavishes the girls – Sophia, 10, and Serena, three – with gifts whenever there’s an opportunity to do so.
Recent examples including splashing out on a limo to take Fifi and a friend to see Taylor Swift in concert.
And when Fifi turned 10, Tamara even decided to get a real-life sloth to come to the house as a surprise on her birthday morning.
But before becoming a mum, Tamara insisted she didn’t want to spoil her children.
“I think you can spoil a child with love and attention rather than showering them with materialistic things,” she told Hello! magazine.
“My parents instilled strong values in my sister and I, and I want to pass those on to my child. I want to do all the things my mother did: she always put us first and encouraged us to follow our dreams.
“I want to be there for my child.”
“It was all bout YOU!”
“Just say you threw yourself a party,” a third said.
“Not one time did you even show a pinky toe of your child on ‘her day’.”
However, others defended Nancy, revealing it’s often a cultural tradition to celebrate a baby’s three-month birthday.
“If I am not mistaken, in the Vietnamese culture, they do not celebrate a baby until they’re born,” one wrote.
“So no baby shower. They will wait until the baby is born and celebrate their life 100 days later.
“It’s related to health and the assurance that a baby’s immune system is stronger.”
“We do that for 100 days yes!” another added.
“Chinese culture and other Asian culture like Korean – you are correct on the reasoning!! (Also the baby won’t be so ugly by then lol).”
“Y’all in the comments acting like y’all don’t throw parties for kids before they can even acknowledge any of it,” a third insisted.
“Even a baby shower isn’t really for the baby but for the parents, on top of theme parks and trips that they won’t even remember.
“Get over yourselves and learn how to be happy for others you salty sad people.”
But, unwilling to accept that explanation, someone else hit back: “The 100 days celebration is a culture thing.
“But the rager???? That ain’t her party, that’s YOURS!”
