THIERRY HENRY has expressed sympathy for Pep Guardiola after the Manchester City boss split from his wife.
Things have gone wrong for Guardiola on and off the pitch this season, with the 5-1 drubbing against Arsenal the latest low for his misfiring side.

City scraped through the Champions League and are at risk of failing to finish in the top four after winning just four of their last ten Prem games.
Meanwhile Guardiola, 54, split from his partner of 36 years Cristina Serra last month, which has coincided with the dip in form.
Henry, who played for Guardiola at Barcelona, expressed sympathy for his former boss after the Arsenal defeat.
He said on Sky Sports: “Do I feel sorry about what’s happening to Man City and Pep? Yeah I do, in one thing.
“It’s not easy to deal with what Pep has to deal with outside of football. I went through that when I went to Barcelona. It’s not easy to deal with stuff like that, when you’re not well mentally.
“You can see that he’s not his usual self. I had to deal with it when I went to Barcelona, I can tell you it’s not easy. No one would like to deal with that while you have to perform all the time. So I think we can understand.
“Now if you go back on the field, it’s not good enough. I don’t think that they can cope whenever a team can deal with playing them all the way to ninety minutes and challenge them and look them in their eyes all the way.”
Henry, 47, split from his ex-wife Claire Merry in 2007 after four years of marriage.

Merry reportedly demanded a £10million settlement during the divorce.
Henry announced he was leaving Merry just before his transfer to Barcelona – she was said to be unhappy about the move and apparently was devastated when Henry walked out on their marriage.
Guardiola met Cristina when he was just 18-years-old and they have three children together – Maria, 24, Marius 22, and Valentina, 17.

Harvey was reportedly stabbed three times by another student as he made his way to lessons as horrified pupils watching on.
Cops swarmed on the school as youngsters were plunged into lockdown – before a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Teachers raced to perform emergency first aid as an air ambulance landed.
Harvey was taken to hospital in a serious condition but he sadly died soon after arriving.
Floral tributes and notes from devastated friends have now been laid at the scene after the horror stabbing.
Flowers, balloons, an England flag and a card were this evening left at the school gates in tribute to Harvey.
A card left at the scene read: “My deepest condolences go out to you all.
“Henny was the life of a party and brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him.
“Henny made you laugh and his bubbly personality was contagious.
“You could always hear him from down a corridor and you’d always know that’s Henny.
“I’ll never forget all the moments, all the laughs. You’ll be missed by so many.
“Fly high you beautiful boy. Forever 15.”
Both teenagers are understood to be students at the school – which is currently closed.
The arrested teen remains in custody and is being quizzed by specially trained officers on suspicion of murder.
South Yorkshire Police Assistant Chief Constable Lindsey Butterfield said the boy suffered “serious injuries” and died a short time later.
Speaking outside the force’s headquarters, she said: “It is with great sadness that I share with you today, a teenager has died following the stabbing at a Sheffield school earlier today, our thoughts are with the family of the boy, his friends and the whole school community.
“At 12.17pm, emergency services were called to All Saints Catholic High School on Granville Road.
“The victim, a 15-year-old boy, suffered serious injuries and despite the best efforts of the ambulance service, he sadly died a short time later.
“A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in our custody at this time.”
Headteacher Sean Pender said in an earlier message to parents: “I am writing to inform you that today we have dealt with an extremely serious incident here in school resulting in us going in to a lockdown procedure.
“The incident involved two students, one of whom we believe has been seriously injured. All other students are contained and safe.
“The police and paramedics are present in school. Once the police allow us to, we will be releasing all students from school.
“I understand the level of anxiety you will be feeling without knowledge of the nature of the incident but at this time I have limited information to share with you whilst we have police and paramedics on site.
“I will endeavour to update you with as much information as possible at the earliest opportunity.
“We ask for your prayers and support at this time.”
One teen claimed that the boy was “stabbed three times”.
The Sun have contacted the school for comment.
Sir Keir Starmer was asked by the media about the death of the 15-year-old as he arrived for a dinner with EU leaders in Brussels.
The Prime Minister said: “The terrible stabbing in Sheffield is one where I think the whole country would want to reach out to the family, the friends, to the school, the entire community, in their grief and mourn with them.
“Obviously there will be an investigation, but I think at this point I simply speak for the country, to the individuals affected, to the family in particular, but everybody impacted by this awful situation – a young boy has gone to school and hasn’t returned home.
“And so my first thoughts as Prime Minister and as a father are with the family.”
Sheffield Heeley MP Louise Haigh said earlier today that a “serious question will have to be answered” after the fatal stabbing.
The Labour MP added: “Horrific news that the young pupil from All Saints High School has died.
“All my thoughts are with his family and friends, and the entire community at All Saints.
“A teenager is in custody and South Yorkshire Police have assured parents that there is no ongoing risk at the school.
“A criminal investigation will now obviously take place, but serious questions will have to be answered about how this could have happened and I will be working with the school, the police and the council to make sure they are.”
