A SELF-CONFESSED “monster” beat a top chef to death before leaving him in the street to go clubbing, a court has heard.
Mussie Imnetu, who worked under Gordon Ramsay, was discovered unconscious with catastrophic brain injuries near the Notting Hill Carnival on August 26 last year.

The 41-year-old was rushed to hospital but tragically died four days later.
Omar Wilson, 31, punched and kicked Imnetu outside Dr Power restaurant in Queensway, west London, the Old Bailey was told.
The violent incident was caught on CCTV and began when Wilson approached Mr Imnetu and headbutted him, prosecutor Jacob Hallam KC said.
About a minute later, Wilson punched Mr Imnetu five times in the head, causing him to fall to the floor.
Wilson, who is currently self-employed and is a director for a charity, continued to punch Mr Imnetu repeatedly as he was on his hands and knees and then kicked him in the head, jurors heard.
Mr Hallam said: “The defendant had, by that point, struck him to his head more than a dozen times. Mr Imnetu had struck the defendant not once.”
After the attack, Wilson allegedly went clubbing in the Ministry of Sound and allegedly told an associate that he “crossed the line”.
Prosecutor Jacob Hallam KC told jurors: “At the end of that altercation, Mr Imnetu was dying on the ground, and the defendant left and went clubbing in the Ministry of Sound.”
In a message, he allegedly said: “There’s a monster in me, man, and it’s just like sometimes it comes out.
“And I think I’ve messed up now, I’ve messed up, everything’s finished.”
Asked how the carnival was going, he replied: “Can’t lie. I did the hands ting (sic) and I think it’s a manslaughter,” jurors heard.
Wilson also allegedly dropped his sunglasses and keys at the scene.
The horror unfolded after Mussie, who is the head chef at Arts Club in Dubai, left the restaurant’s sister venue in Dover Street, Mayfair.
Mr Imnetu, who worked at The Arts Club, was taken to hospital and died four days later, having never regained consciousness.
He was visiting the UK on business from Dubai where he lives and works.
As well as collaborating with Gordon Ramsay, he had also worked for MasterChef host Marcus Wareing and Alain Ducasse.
Following his arrest on 28 August, 2024, Wilson told police he had struck the victim in “self-defence”.
He claimed Mr Imnetu was behaving erratically, harassing girls, and had a bottle.
After being shown CCTV of Mr Imnetu being assaulted, Wilson said it “seems excessive now” and watching it was “f*****g disgusting”, jurors were told.
Wilson, of Napier Road, Leytonstone, east London, has denied murder.

A NUDIST dubbed “Naked Carpenter” has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for stabbing a cop 23 times with a pair of scissors.
Robert Jenner, 50, has been convicted of the attempted murder of Kent PC Sean Quinn after stabbing him in the head, face and neck.

Cops had gone to Jenner’s flat in Albion Place on June 15, 2023, after allegations of indecent exposure in nearby Mote Park, Kent Police said.
The force said Jenner was butt naked when officers arrived and had barricaded his front door with furniture, refusing to let police inside.
After officers got into the flat he fled into a darkened room, police said.
PC Quinn followed and was immediately set on with a pair of scissors by Jenner.
Jenner repeatedly stabbed PC Quinn in the head, face, neck and limbs.
The assault only ended when PC Quinn’s colleagues came to his aid, police said.
Jurors returned a majority verdict in December finding Jenner guilty of attempted murder.
The trial at Maidstone Crown Court had seen body-worn footage of the attack where Jenner “launched” himself at the officer, who was seen screaming for help with a bloodied face.
Jenner had been released from prison two days before the incident, having served a sentence for breaching a court order banning him from wearing see-through clothing, his trial heard.
He previously gained fame as the “Naked Carpenter” for doing woodwork in the nude.
Jenner did not attend his trial or give evidence, but denied attempted murder and wounding with intent.
Police said he was again absent on Tuesday when the judge passed a sentence of 30 years imprisonment.
He was deemed “dangerous” and will have to serve at least two-thirds before he can apply for parole, officers said.
Kent Police said Jenner will then be subject to an extended licence period of five years.
Chief Superintendent Neil Loudon said: “Jenner was responsible for a sustained and savage attack against a frontline police officer dedicated to serving his local community.
This terrifying ordeal lasted more than 20 seconds and only ended when colleagues were able to intervene and assist the officer in restraining Jenner.
“Jenner has inflicted some of the worst injuries to a constable I have ever seen and this case is also a reminder of the challenges police officers face through their readiness to confront danger and protect others.
“Throughout all the court proceedings Jenner has displayed his clear contempt for the law and has also remained unrepentant for his shocking actions.
He remains a serious and substantial threat to the public and will now rightly be in prison for a very long time.

Complaints were made against Gregg, 60, that alleged he had exhibited inappropriate behaviour and had made sexualised comments.
After the complaints emerged and the scandal exploded, Gregg stopped posting on social media.
His last post was on November 27, which was one day before the scandal hit headlines.
And now Gregg has made a comeback to social media with a recipe video tutorial.
Taking to his Instagram page to share a video on how to make some protein pancakes, Gregg shared the video and wrote a caption that read: “Easy n Healthy Gregg Wallace Health.”
Fans went wild in the comments section, with many overjoyed that he had made a comeback to the app.
One fan penned: “Here he is! Good to have you back pal,” to which Gregg responded with: “Yo x”.
“Ah you back. My heart could not be happier Greg. Missed your cooking,” said a second.
A third then swooned: “Nice to see you back on here Gregg.”
While a fourth wrote: “Good to see you post again Greg. Missed your daily posts. Hope you and the family are well.”
“So pleased to see this post. We’ve missed you,” said a fifth.
A sixth person then added: “Good to see you again old chap! Looks delicious. Will give this a go at the weekend!”

“Let’s see how we get on. I have managed to have some time at home and did some cooking.
“It’s a habit I want to get back in to – cooking for the family once a week is something that I really enjoy.”
He added: “All our meals are frozen and shipped via DPD AM Delivery Service. They will arrive frozen or within the correct temperatures to transfer straight into your freezer unless otherwise stated in product descriptions.”
Single meals will set punters back £8 or buyers could get their hands on a set of eight for £60.

The incident reportedly took place late at night in Mashhad, Iran‘s second biggest city, in the north-east of the country.
In the explicit video, the naked woman appears to be protesting against the cops as she causes the unwanted chaos in public.
As she stands on the car’s bonnet people can be heard honking their horns as they speed past.
The car, which had been pulled over by the side of the road, was still flashing its lights as several officers surrounded the woman.
Both the front and back seat doors have been swung open as the cops plead with the woman to get down.
Upon her refusal to cooperate and jump off the car, one of the men appears to grab inside the back seat for a gun.
Another man, in what looks like camo uniform, can already be seen holding an assault rifle as he speaks to the woman.
After words are exchanged, the naked woman climbs onto the flashing lights on top of the cop car and uses it as a armrest.
As she sits with her legs open, she gestures to the traffic by flinging her arms in the air.
The woman then points at herself and shouts some more before one of the armed men circles around the car as the footage ends.
A man claiming to be the woman’s husband reportedly said the woman has now been taken into care, according to local media.
It is unclear why the woman resorted to stripping naked in the street but posts on social media claimed she was protesting against the country’s strict clothing rules for women.
Women are facing tighter restrictions than ever before in Iran with a new bill is set to toughen up regulations governing how they can dress and act in public.
The bill says that anyone found “naked, semi-naked, or wearing clothing deemed improper in public” can be arrested without question and handed over to the judicial authorities.
People refusing to comply could be banned from leaving Iran or even placed on a social media hiatus of up to two years if they post content deemed inappropriate online.
The law is yet to be passed by Tehran’s government but officers are already implementing it, claim several women.
Her clothes and headscarf were both torn during the alleged assault at the Azad University of Science and Research in Tehran, Iran International reports.
Footage shows the woman sat near-nude outside a university before being bundled violently into a car by police.
She was also reportedly accused of being mentally ill and taken to a nearby hospital.

Official records show that the number of executions last year reached 1,000 – the highest number in 30 years and 16 percent higher than last year.
Iranian resistance group the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) warns that the real number is “significantly higher”, however, considering the regime’s use of secret executions.
The grim toll includes women, children and political prisoners – often sentenced to death without any regard to a fair trial or due process.

UNDER Iranian law, rooted in Sharia law, women must cover their hair with a hijab and wear long, loose-fitting clothing.
The Guidance Patrol – aka the morality police – are in charge of arresting women who violate the conservative dress code.
Tasked with ensuring Islamic morals are respected, they spend their days patrolling public spaces in vans to crack down on “improper” behaviour and clothing.
Women detained by cops are either given a warning or bundled into a van and whisked away to a “correctional facility” or a police station.
They are then lectured on how to dress before being released to their male relatives.
Since the 1980s, many women have been beaten to death by the callous morality police, or tortured into given false confessions.
Various clips this year have shown their increased presence as the country ramps up its violent crackdowns on women.

On his right side, there was also a picture of a huge, gnarly tree, which went all the way up to his cheekbone.
Other images included in the design were gravestones, crosses, an RIP tomb and a pair of gates – which sat directly on his chin.
Despite clearly being thrilled with his new ink, the man ended up “fighting for his life in the comments”, according to someone who posted the snaps on Reddit’s S**ty Tattoos thread.
“People are telling him to get it touched up by a different artist,” the poster added, “and clowning anyone who says it’s not incredible”.
Faced with the complaints, the guy then responded “it’s freshly done, it just needs to heal”, the Redditer said.
But unsurprisingly, people commenting on the Reddit post were equally harsh about the tattoo, with many insisting he’d struggle to get a job with such a bold inking.
“Look REAL close and you can see his future buried in that mess…” one wrote.
“Any semblance of a normal life depends on whether he could grow a beard to hide it,” another said.
“Man, wish I also had enough money that I could never be employable again,” a third sighed.
While others took aim at the tattoo artist who had inked him, with one writing: “The concept is… interesting at least.
“But the execution (and it’s a murder) is horrendous, just artless.”
“RIP to his face lol,” another said.
“I always say people with face tattoos are usually not good decision makers,” a third commented.
“This just proves the point. God damn!”
“Yeah the actual ink has terrible design and no subtlety,” another wrote.
“Could have been great in the right context but that ain’t it.”
