A COUPLE was left heartbroken after their mobile home was destroyed by Storm Eowyn.
Rickie and Lauren Kavanagh from Cluidrevagh, Co Galway, have issued an urgent plea as they are left homeless – after their home was completely destroyed.

During the madness of Storm Eowyn, their home was flipped and destroyed by the strong winds, leaving the heartbroken couple to salvage their belongings.
Rickie and Lauren were lucky to escape the chaos as they stayed with their friend during the storm event.
The mobile home was only purchased three months ago, before the devastating event occurred.
A GoFundMe page has been created to help the pair rebuild.
The couple is still paying back loans for their mobile home, which they no longer have, and they are struggling to afford a replacement.
Launching the fundraiser page, the couple told their story about their mobile home and how they only want to save money to find their forever home.
They said: “We are still paying back loans for a home we no longer have after Storm Eowyn hit on the 24th of January 2025.
“We can’t afford another one and we just want someplace to call our own so we can have the chance to save for our forever home.
“Unfortunately the storm flipped the mobile over and we’re currently trying to recover whatever belongings we can.
“We’re very grateful that we were staying with a friend on the night storm hit as things could have been a lot worse but we had the mobile home only three months and now it’s destroyed.
“It would mean so much to us if you could help in any way possible and hopefully we reach our goal.
“If any money is raised above the goal amount it will be donated to a charity.
“Thanks so much to everyone helping us.”
GENEROUS DONATIONS
The GoFundMe fundraiser was launched yesterday to raise €10,000 to help the couple get their bearings together and find a new home.
They also pleaded that if the fundraiser exceeds the target, it will go towards a charity.
People have been sharing whatever they can to help the heartbroken couple during difficult times and get them back on their feet.
After 14 hours of the campaign being live, it has raised over €2,600.
A generous person has donated €500, while a handful donated €100 to help them find a new home.

A MAN who is married to woman a whopping 37 years older than him has revealed that the comments from trolls don’t bother him.
Quran Mccain met Cheryl, who has 18 grandchildren, when he was just 15 years old.

Cheryland Quran often share details of their unconventional relationship online, and in a recentTikTokvideo revealed that people still comment on their huge age gap.
In the viral clip, Quran can be seen laying on a bed as Cheryl gives him a back massage.
The text over the video reads: “You’re the guy who married his grandma.”
Quran mimed a long the the lyrics “go ahead and tell everybody, I’m the man,” as if to confirm the statement.
And although the couple might not actually be related, they still get a lot of hate for their relationship, which the couple brush off time and time again.
In another clip, Cheryl and Quran can be seen dancing together as the text over the clip reads: “Them: She was 37 yrs old when you was born. [SIC]”
The couple continued dancing together as Quran mouthed along to the song playing in the background: “I don’t give a f**k.”
But people were left convinced that the relationship couldn’t be legitimate because of the large age gap.
One person commented on the viral video: “I don’t think this is something to be proud of bro.”
And a second chimed in: “He really thinks he did something, all you did was bag a grandma dude.”
But others supported their relationship, and many defended them in the comment section of their video.
“How can people hate when they don’t even know you, bless your marriage,” one said.
And another said: “Stay happy and enjoy your life together and enjoy the haters, you’re a great couple.”
SURROGACY DRAMA
owever, because of Cheryl’s age she is unable to conceive naturally – leading the pair who are desperate to complete their family to turn to other methods.
The pair revealed earlier this year they would be going down the surrogacy route and had found a woman who was willing to carry the child after three failed attempts.
“Our surrogate is incarcerated and now our baby has a second chance at life”, Cheryl said.
Cheryl and Quran went on to explain that their surrogate is battling drug addiction, something they didn’t know when they asked her to carry their baby.
Quran said: “It’s not good that our baby is in this situation, because we weren’t prepared for the circumstances that came with the surrogate we chose.
“We take accountability for that”.
Cheryl was unable to use her own eggs so the baby would have been conceived with the surrogates egg and Quran’s semen.
But the heartbroken 63-year-old has provided an update and the surrogacy hasn’t gone to plan.
Taking to TikTok Cheryl said: “People are messaging me and wanting to know what’s going on.
Well, the dates have not matched up from the beginning.”
Cheryl explained the baby conception date was March 5th – but there was no insemination from Quran until after March 12th.

This led the couple to believe the baby was someone else’s.
“She was with her boyfriend trying to tell us that they didn’t have sex, and I was trying to tell my husband that is wrong,” she said.
“So I got tired of all this and her saying that the baby’s his and using his feelings and stuff for it.”
Quran and Cheryl decided the only thing to do was get the surrogate to do a DNA test which they paid for and she agreed to.
But when the day came, the surrogate ‘made up every excuse under the book not to be able to come.’
“So what does that tell us? That’s not our baby,” said a defeated Cheryl.
“My husband is not the baby daddy.
“I’m sorry to say that, but it’s been a blessing, because this has been one hell of a messed up journey.”
