AN extradition deal targeting Irish gangsters hiding in Dubai will be ratified by the Dail “very quickly”, new Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan has declared.

Last year, Ireland agreed an extradition deal with the UAE aimed at bringing Irish criminals hiding in Dubai back home to face justice.

Gardai believe that Daniel Kinahan and other senior members of the Kinahan Cartel are hiding in Dubai.

The extradition deal with the UAE has yet to be ratified by the Dail – the final hurdle before it can come into effect.

Minister O’Callaghan told the Irish Sun that he will bring the extradition deal before the Dail as soon as possible and ensure it is signed off.

He said: “I want to commend Minister McEntee for that excellent piece of work. That treaty needs to be ratified, my understanding is, by Dail Eireann.

“Once it is ratified, and I think that will be done promptly, then it can come into operation and any individuals who need to be extradited hopefully will be extradited.”

Asked how long this will take, the Minister added: “I would have thought that ratification could be done very quickly and could be done without debate and I suspect it will be done without debate.”

The Minister would not speak about any individual case or crime gang but said he wanted to see “any persons who have been involved in criminal activity in Ireland, I would like them extradited back here to face the arms of the law”.

Last year, Sean McGovern was arrested in the UAE as part of an investigation into the murder of innocent Noel Kirwan who was killed in the Kinahan-Hutch feud in 2016.

McGovern remains in the UAE with Garda Commissioner Drew Harris refusing to comment on the case today as it is “within a judicial process”.

Justice Minister O’Callaghan was speaking outside Irishtown Garda Station in Dublin where he was promoting the garda recruitment drive for 2025 which will officially be launched next week.

The Programme for Government commits to recruiting an additional 1,000 gardai every year for the next five years.

Minister O’Callaghan urged people who are doing “sedentary jobs or jobs that may not be particularly exciting to consider a job within An Garda Siochana because it is an exciting career”.

Speaking about the deal in October, a Department of Justice spokesperson told us: “A number of productive in-person negotiating rounds have now taken place between senior Irish officials and their Emirati counterparts.

‘PERSON OF INTEREST’

“The focus of these negotiations has been to ensure that the processes for extradition and mutual legal assistance between Ireland and the United Arab Emirates are structured and simplified, whilst also ensuring essential safeguards are maintained.”

Daniel Kinahan, 47, is currently a “person of interest” in the ongoing investigation into the murder of Eddie Hutch on February 8, 2016.

And he’s also suspected by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau of “directing the activities” of a criminal organisation.

At present, two extensive files on both cases are being examined by the Director of Public Prosecutions.

ROSANNA Davison has revealed her latest hair transformation with an amazing “before and after” compilation.

The former Miss World is renowned for her luscious blonde locks and today she gave fans an exclusive look inside her extensive hair regime.

Rosanna took to Instagram to share the process of removing her lengthy extensions.

The 40-year-old showed off her natural, darker toned hair colour and even captured a snap of the her original hair length.

The Dublin beauty looked happy as ever as she sat in a hairdressers and posed with her brand new platinum blonde locks.

The mum-of-three wrote in her caption: “All done. New set of @goldfeverhair.”

Rosanna then explained how her previous hair extensions had been taken out the day before and she was given a full head of bright blonde highlights.

Her hairstylist then dyed her extensions to match the shade she had used and fitted the first layer to her head.

This morning, Rosanna returned to the hair salon to get the final few layers of her extensions fitted – as she emphasised it was an extremely “long process”.

The beauty queen then shared the incredible “before and after” results to her page.

The first picture showed Rosanna’s natural dark blonde hair, with a brunette root.

Her hair texture was much thinner without the extensions and her ends had a strawberry blonde colour.

After her hair stylist was finished revamping her locks the results were fabulous.

Rosanna’s hair was now extra voluminous with increased length and a gorgeous platinum blonde shine.

Her hair was also immaculately curled and styled to perfection.

But it’s not all glamour and beauty in the Davison household.

Last week, Rosanna shared the honest reality of “mum life” with a hilarious post about the aftermath of lunchtime with toddlers.

MUM LIFE

The TV star has three kids under the age of four and has always been open about her struggles with motherhood.

Rosanna took to social media to share a snippet of herself discovering a piece of her toddler’s food in her bra.

The Irish star humorously captioned the post: “Mum life: finding a bit of biscuit in your bra and eating it anyways.”

In the short clip, the model could be seen walking down her hallway at home while scrolling through social media.

KEEP IT MOVING

The doting mum then stopped dead in her tracks and gave a confused look as she began to pat her chest.

She then reached into her top and pulled out a piece of biscuit which had fallen in there.

The Dublin native hilariously stared at the food before shrugging her shoulders and throwing it into her mouth.

Rosanna jokingly confessed: “Bits of cracker and toast have been found in my bra, bed and even in the shower.”
