With the last dance being just around the corner, the celebrities and their pros have been sharing their final goodbyes to each other.

Jennifer took to Instagram today to share a tribute for her partner Doireann.

The mum-of-two said: “So now it’s my turn, I get quite emotional thinking about it. This is obviously for Doireann, my partner in crime, my friend.

“And I just want to say, Doireann, you are a massive pain in the hole. You were grand for the last series, but you just got worse.

“You’re a massive pain in the hole. And I can’t wait to get on a flight, get out of this country, and get as far away from you as possible.

“Because I can’t listen to you. No, I’m so done. So bring on the final. Bring on the wrap party. And I’ll see you next year, unfortunately.”

Doireann hit back at Jennifer and shared her own speech saying: “I didn’t think we were doing this. I thought we were going to leave this to the pros and the celebs, but here we are.

“I’ve actually just had a nap because we do our Saturday rehearsals and then we see each other all day Sunday.

“And then there’s the chat about outfits during the week and the photos and the WhatsApp groups and there’s the relentlessness for the three months. So I just had a little rest.

“This is the last weekend and after that I won’t be seeing you every weekend. I’ll just be lying on the bed and going for coffees and making plans with my friends and my family… how sad.

“Thank you. You’ve actually spoken with the wrap party since week one, so you’ve got to wish our lives away.”

Finalist Kayleigh Trappe has said the RTE show has given her a chance to be herself, overcome her phobias and follow her dreams of acting and presenting.

Kayleigh told The Irish Sun: “When I was younger I had a diary. I was reading it recently where I had written how I wanted to be a performer but that was never going to happen as I’m too fat and ugly.

“But I’m going to leave this show with more confidence and support myself more. I have the routines to thank for that.”

The Monaghan woman, who became famous when her TikTok videos lip syncing Irish celebs went viral, revealed how doing DWTS finally meant she had to be herself.

She said: “I made a career out of being in character, putting on wigs and never being myself.

“When I’m told to be myself my confidence just goes and that comes back to a history of body confidence issues.

“But in week five something changed and  since then my dance pro partner Ervinas (Merfeldas) said how much freer I am about letting go where before I was very hesitant with things.

“Although it was a difficult part of the journey, it was the best part as well.”
