Derek Frazier expressed his disappointment that he hasn’t had the chance to return to reality TV after his time on Big Brother.
“CBS, thank you. Since Big Brother 23, five out of six members of The Cookout have competed on CBS competition shows,” Frazier, 33, wrote via X on Monday, March 17. “And I appreciate you making it clear how you feel about me.”
He continued: “Trust me, it doesn’t feel good, I definitely feel left out.”
Frazier was the runner-up on season 23 of the CBS competition series, which aired in 2021, losing to Xavier Prather. Frazier was a member of The Cookout alliance, which included Prather, Azah Awasum, Kyland Young, Hannah Chaddha and Tiffany Mitchell. The group formed on day one with the goal in mind to crown Big Brother’s first Black winner. They made history as they dominated the season, and all of them made it to the final six.

Since the season ended, Prather, Mitchell, Young and Awasum, went on to appear on seasons of The Challenge: USA. Chaddha, for her part, has not appeared on a competition series that has aired.
Earlier this month, speculation sparked online that The Amazing Race season 38 will feature teams of Big Brother alumni. The social media account Reality TV News/Updates shared a rumored cast list via X. The list, which has not been confirmed by CBS, featured several former Big Brother stars, including Chaddha and Young.

While Frazier was not specific about why he felt the way he did, his comments came shortly after the speculative cast list made traction online.
Us Weekly has reached out to CBS for comment.
After sharing his disappointment at not returning to reality TV, Frazier clapped back in a follow-up message for the trolls who believe he should not prioritize being on TV.
‘Big Brother’ Controversies Through the Years
“And let me just say this for all the people telling me to ‘get a full-time job,’ I’ve been a director full-time since 2021, for the last three years,” he wrote via X. “Oh, and I’ve also lost over 71 pounds, working out seven days a week. So let’s be clear, there are no excuses here. I’m just speaking facts and telling the truth!”
Frazier has been candid about his weight loss journey. At the end of last year, he took to social media to show off his new physique.
“Call it a comeback. To everyone who said ‘no,’ ‘too fat,’ or ‘you’ll never be picked again’ — thanks for the fuel,” Frazier captioned a December 2024 TikTok video that showed him lifting a barbell before and after his weight loss transformation. “That’s a total of 71 pounds lost in just 10 months. And trust me, I’m just getting started.”
