When someone threatens your kids, parents take that very seriously. So it’s no surprise that Beyoncé and Jay-Z are reportedly planning to respond to Kanye West’s “vulgar and offensive” tirade against their two youngest children, Rumi and Sir, 7. (Seriously, who attacks children?!)
It started when Ye surprise released a visual album Bully earlier this week, then attacked Rumi and Sir on X. “Wait, has anyone ever seen Jay-Z and Beyonce’s younger kids?” he wrote in a since-deleted post, per Entertainment Weekly. “No, like, literally, and this is why artificial insemination is such a blessing.” He also called the kids the R-word slur.
“If Twitter take my s— down, then so be it, but I need y’all to no [sic] Jay-Z or nobody have no power over me,” he tweeted later, continuing to rail against his former mentor and his wife.
Now, sources told Page Six that Jay-Z and Beyoncé are talking about pursuing legal action against the rapper and his “shocking” post. “Jay-Z and Beyoncé are aware of the posts Kanye has since deleted and are discussing how they want to handle this situation, whether that be privately and/or in a legal matter,” the insider revealed.
Currently, they “have no plans on publicly addressing Kanye’s X posts about their children.”
Beyoncé’s mom Tina Knowles seemingly addressed the situation. She shared a video on Instagram Wednesday telling “a corny joke” about a snowman “melting down.” In a since-deleted caption, per TMZ, Knowles wrote, “it’s hard to remain positive and classy in the face of ignorance and evil. But I know that no weapon formed against me or my family shall prosper.🙏🏽❤️ This battle is not mine, but the Lords, I know that God has got this.”
West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian (with whom he shares kids North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5) is also allegedly upset about the “Stronger” actor’s words.
A source told Page Six that Kardashian is “appalled” that West “would use that kind of language about anybody, let alone when it comes to children.” The insider continued, “Kim has had enough and she’s done trying to be reasonable with Kanye when it comes to communication.”
The insider added that Kardashian finds the Yeezy founder’s tweets “shocking and offensive” and feels “no matter what feud Kanye has going on with Jay and Beyoncé, kids are off limits.”
In addition to attacking Sir and Rumi, West also released a song with North West and Sean “Diddy” Combs, who has been charged with sex trafficking; invited Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate (who are both facing sexual assault lawsuits in the U.S. and the U.K.) to meet with him and North, and called Kardashian “a sex trafficker,” per TMZ.
Earlier this week, multiple sources told Us Weekly that the SKIMS founder is “considering” filing for full custody of the kids in light of West’s recent tirade. She is allegedly “worried” that West’s behavior could “create problems” for their kids. We don’t blame her, especially because it seems like West’s unhinged behavior already has caused problems!
