‘He’s right… I’m lazy’ – Luke Littler’s honest verdict after Wade criticism as world No2 crashes out of World Masters
LUKE LITTLER confessed that he is lazy after James Wade levied an accusation at his fellow darts stars.
The Nuke gave an honest verdict of himself after crashing out of the World Masters, losing 4-2 to Jonny Clayton.
His confession comes after James Wade’s claim about darts stars[/caption]Littler, 18, played well but was no match for The Ferret, who booked a meeting with Dimitri van den Bergh in the semi-final.
After the match Littler responded to claims made by Wade that darts players can be quite lazy.
He said: “I didn’t see it at the time but he’s right – I am lazy in the practice room.
“I don’t have to practice for hours and hours. You know yourself as a player when you’ve practised for that long, you are warmed up and ready to go.”
Wade actually picked out Littler as an exception to his claim, suggesting he and Luke Humphries are “amazing”.
The 2014 World Masters champion said: “I don’t believe anyone is amazing, apart from probably the Lukes (Littler and Humphries), and after that they can be quite lazy.
“They are not Phil Taylors and not Michael van Gerwens at their best, but they are phenomenal players and there are gaps in the market.”
Littler reached the quarter-final of the World Masters by thrashing Wade 4-0.

‘So terrible even Pep’s disappointed’ – Fans react to Havertz’s shocking sitter miss after Man City’s kamikaze defending
FANS joked that Pep Guardiola was disappointed after Kai Havertz’s shocking miss against his Manchester City side.
Havertz missed an absolute sitter to double Arsenal‘s lead during their Premier League clash at the Emirates.

And more kamikaze defending from the Citizens saw calamity at the back just over 20 minutes later.
Stefan Ortega fed Maeteo Kovacic on the edge of his own box but Declan Rice brilliantly pressed and won the ball away from the Croatian.
A loose ball fell to Havertz in acres of space but the German international fluffed his lines after taking a touch and lining himself up.
The 25-year-old somehow rolled it wide from 15 yards, with the goal gaping and covered his face with his shirt in shame.
And fans have had a field day online.
One joked: “Even Guardiola is angry that Havertz missed the open goal!”
A second said: “Even Pep can’t believe Havertz missed that.”

Arsenal’s need for an out-and-out goalscoring striker has been well documented this season.
Arteta is desperate to bring in a forward before Monday’s deadline, after having a £60m bid for Ollie Watkins rejected by Aston Villa.
The Spaniard needs to bolster a squad that has suffered big injuries in attacking areas to the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka.
Last month, Havertz was subjected to vile abuse from a selection of Arsenal fans after missing several chances in their FA Cup third round defeat to Manchester United.
