‘There’s two things I’d like to say’ – Piers Morgan leaves voicenote for ‘Mr Humble’ Erling Haaland after Arsenal win

PIERS MORGAN rubbed salt into Erling Haaland and Manchester City’s wounds.

SunSport columnist Morgan left Haaland a cheeky voicenote following Arsenal‘s brutal 5-1 drubbing of City at the Emirates on Sunday.

Morgan, like the tens of thousands of Arsenal fans inside the stadium, revelled in Haaland’s misfortunes.

It comes after the Norwegian memorably clashed with the Gunners in a fierce post-match melee in the reverse fixture at the Etihad in September.

Following John Stones‘ dramatic injury time equaliser in the 2-2 draw, Haaland was seen throwing the ball at Gabriel Magalhaes‘ head.

And tempers flared after the full-time whistle, where he asked Hale End graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly, “Who the f*** are you?'” after the debtuant got in his face.

Haaland then proceeded to tell Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to, “Stay humble”, before labelling ex-Citizens forward Gabriel Jesus as a “f****** clown”.

His words were firmly in the minds of the Arsenal squad and fanbase, including Morgan, who sent a voicenote to talkSPORT.

He said: “This is Piers Morgan for talkSPORT, I’ve just got back from the stadium after watching Arsenal demolish Manchester City 5-1.

“The last time we played City, Erling Haaland had a lot to say for himself at the end of the game.

“Well, there are two things I’d like to say after today’s game Erling.

“One is, I think you know who Mr Lewis-Skelly is now. And secondly, stay humble.

“The way you lot are playing, you’re going to have a lot to be humble about.”

Reacting to Morgan’s message, talkSPORT co-host Jeff Stelling joked: “Ah, the most humble man on the planet, Piers Morgan, having his say.”

Ally McCoist then added: “The man who put the ‘H’ in humble.”

And like Morgan, most of Arsenal‘s starting XI taunted the Norway international all game.

Gabriel screamed in the 24-year-old’s face for their opener before Lewis-Skelly mimicked Haaland’s meditation celebration.

Haaland walked over to the away end at full-time his golden Prem badge on his shirt sleeve that indicates they are reigning champions.

Told of Arsenal’s mocking celebrations, Guardiola smiled and said: “That’s good… that’s good.”

Meanwhile, Arteta’s men are working to overturn a 2-0 deficit in the second-leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final away at Newcastle on Wednesday.

Arsenal player ratings vs Man City

ARSENAL stunned Man City 5-1 at the Emirates on Sunday evening.

It was an incredible result against their rivals of recent years.

Here, we take a look at how the Gunners rated…

David Raya – 7/10
Had very little to do in the first half but made a brilliant save in the 22nd minute to deny a goalbound header from Josko Gvardiol. Made another stunning save two minutes from the half-time interval, stopping a deflected Savinho shot from close range. Powerless to stop Erling Haaland’s 55th-minute header from briefly levelling the scores.

Jurrien Timber – 6
Didn’t offer his usual attacking threat going forward but was solid defensively. Picked up a pointless yellow breaking up a harmless counter-attack in the 24th minute. Almost scored late in the second half.

William Saliba – 5
Didn’t have much to do in the first half but won all his aerial battles in the first 45 minutes. Marshalled the defence well early in the second period but was embarrassingly outjumped and outmuscled by Haaland for City’s equaliser – a major flaw of his that continues to be exposed.

Gabriel Magalhaes – 6
Like his defensive partner, he was seldom called into action in the first half. Dominant in the air in his battles with Haaland, who he trolled after Odegaard’s goal.

Myles Lewis-Skelly – 8
Continues to endear himself to the Emirates faithful with composure and tenacity beyond his years as he brilliantly floated between left back and midfield. Put real daylight between the two sides with a thumping finish just after the hour mark. This young lad is a real bright prospect for both the Gunners and England.
His trolling of Haaland by copying the Norwegian’s ‘Lotus’ celebration went down a storm with fans.

Thomas Partey – 7
Steady in the heart of midfield and broke up play well when required. Fired the Gunners back into the lead in the 57th minute with a deflected shot from outside the box.

Martin Odegaard – 7
Was in the right place at the right time to benefit from the aftermath of an uncharacteristic Manuel Akanji error and break the deadlock. Was at the heart of everything good the north Londoners did going forward.

Declan Rice – 6
Combative, as always, in the middle of the park and played a role in the home side taking the lead, teeing up Havertz who squared the ball to Odegaard.

Leandro Trossard – 6
Was particularly lively on the left in the first half, giving Matheus Nunes a real run for his money. His end product, however, wasn’t the best.

Gabriel Martinelli – 6
Lively on the right wing in the early goings. Found the back of the net in the fifth minute after some beautiful play from Odegaard but was needlessly offside. Forced a good save out of Ortega with a rasping effort in the 68th minute.

Kai Havertz – 6
Lively early doors, testing Stefan Ortega with a tame shot in the first minute. Teed up Odegaard for a tap in a few moments later. Missed a golden opportunity to double the lead in the 25th minute, dragging the ball wide with the goal at his absolute mercy. Made amends for his howler by finishing an even harder chance in the 76th minute. He well and truly needed that as he looked absolutely devoid of confidence.

SUBS

Ethan Nwaneri – 83 (on for Trossard) – 7
Put the cherry on top of the cake with an outrageous effort in second-half stoppage time.

Mikel Merino – 83 (on for Odegaard) – 5

Raheem Sterling – 89 (on for Kai Havertz ) – N/A

Riccardo Calafiori 89 (on for Lewis-Skelly) – N/A

Fan favourite Tre made it to the shows final five candidates[/caption]

Last year he appeared as a contestant on the reality business show The Apprentice and made it to the final five candidates.

But in a recent Instagram post he shocked his host of followers by announcing he was going back in!

Tre posted a video showing him at the keyboards alongside this year’s candidates as they attempted to make a hit song.

The video was captioned: “Buzzing for this episode! This time last year, I was in the boardroom as a contestant.

“Now I’m back mentoring the next wave of entrepreneurs, showing them how to craft a hit song and step up under pressure.

“What makes this moment even more special? Doing it in the year of the 25th anniversary of Body Groove, a track that changed everything for me.

“To come full circle, sharing my music knowledge and mentoring these candidates as they navigate the competition, is an absolute privilege.

“But this isn’t just about music, it’s about resilience, creativity, and stepping outside your comfort zone.

“Whether it’s crafting a song or building a business, success comes down to vision, execution, and belief.”

Tre concluded by stating: “Can’t wait to watch this on Thursday at 9PM on BBC One. Who’s tuning in?#TheApprentice #Mentorship #MusicBusiness #BodyGroove25 #EntrepreneurMindset.”

Fans rushed to respond to the post and share their good wishes. One stated: ” Very much looking forward to this!”

A second stated: “Congrats on going back!”

“Ayyyy can’t wait for next week” said another.

One more fan exclaimed: “You’re going to be making an appearance? It was clear you were one of the smartest, business savvy and decent and humble candidates ever.

The Apprentice biggest moments

THE Apprentice has been a fan favourite ever since it burst onto the box in 2005.

Here we take a look at five of the biggest moments over the years on the hit BBC One show.

Tim Campbell – Former London Underground transport manager Tim Campbell won the first series of the reality show in 2005. He is now one of Lord Sugar’s aides on the show.

Sarah Lynn and James White – For the first and only time in the show’s history, both finalists were crowned winners in 2017.

Amy Anzel – Season 16’s fired candidate Amy Anzel was BANNED from the final celebration show, after a tit-for-tat exchange over Lord Sugar’s mocking tweets.

Michelle Dewberry – Telecoms consultant Michelle Dewberry won the second series of the show in 2006. However, after winning a six-figure job with Lord Sugar she lasted just four months before she sensationally quit.

Selena Waterman-Smith – We’re used to tensions running high in the boardroom, but in 2015 a disagreement between two candidates spilled over – for the first time – into a physical bust-up. Events manager Selina Waterman-Smith was given a verbal warning by show bosses for her role in an off-camera scrap with Charleine Wain.

“It was clear you impressed Sugar, Brady and Campbell even from an early stage. That takes some doing. Not surprised Alan wanted you back!”

Fellow Apprentice Contestant and Music Director Virdi Mazaria joked: “I wish we had this task on our season! Just maybe it would’ve been one I wouldn’t have lost.”

However, last year’s Apprentice fans were utterly stunned by Tre’s rich musical past.

In one fiercely fought challenge, his opposing team used the song Body Groove by the garage group, Architechs as their music.

Of course, Tre was in the group and it was one of his songs, so he joked he would earn royalties from the use of the track.

Fans could not believe what they were watching as they took to social media in utter shock.

“Tre collecting his royalties from the other teams advert #TheApprentice”, jokingly noted one user.

As a second exclaimed: “Was today years old when I found out that Tre was part of the UK garage group Architects, and made the banger Body Groove feat Nana and also the awesome remix of Brandy & Monica’s The Boy is Mine. #TheApprentice.”

Whilst a third viewer gushed: “A win, and your song gets on national TV! What a week for Tre Lowe #TheApprentice”

A fourth excitedly posted: “HOW DID I NOT KNOW BEFORE NOW THAT TRE FROM #TheApprentice RELEASED ICONIC 00s GARAGE JAM ‘BODY GROOVE’?!!!!”

Danielle Collins suns herself on beach after taunting tennis fans she’d spend ‘big fat pay cheque’ on ‘5-star vacation’

Aussie fans passionately backed their player Aiava, but Collins managed to come through with a win 7-6, 4-6, 6-2 win.

Fired up with her triumph and annoyed with the crowd, Collins cupped her hand to her ear, blew kisses and even tapped her bum.

She then said in her on-court interview: “During the match I was like, while I’m out here I might as well take that big fat pay cheque.

“We love a five star vacation, so a big part of that will go towards that.

“So thank you guys, thanks for coming out here and supporting us tonight. Thank you guys, love you.”

She then went on to add: “Me and my girlfriends we love a five-star holiday so I can guarantee that next cheque is going to go towards a five-star trip, hopefully to the Bahamas.

“We like boats. Big boats. We like yachts. Yeah, we’ll post about it and let you guys know how it goes.”

True to her word, Collins did head to the Bahamas before sharing a video clip from her trip on Instagram.

Her video showed her picturesque walk down to the beach.

She also showed off her roomy apartment, before patting her bum again while playing pickleball.

Collins beamed while posing with her friends, then sunbathed in a bikini.

Alongside kissing and heart emojis, she wrote: “This five star vacay brought to you by @coralsands_harbourisland.”

Collins’ rant at the fans in Australia drew her praise from Novak Djokovic.

The legendary Serb, 37, said: “I loved her response.

“I loved it. Everything she said on the court, off the court.

“Big fan of Danielle Collins after that. I was before, but now, big fan.

“I think she was funny, smart and just big fan of what she did.”

Collins had planned to retire at the end of last season, before performing a U-turn on her decision.

She is not set to be in action at upcoming 1000 tournaments in Doha and Dubai due to a foot injury.
