AN EXPERT has claimed the FBI should investigate Prince Harry for potentially “lying” on his US visa application – rather than looking into Prince Andrew.
Royal photographer and expert Arthur Edwards spoke to The Sun’s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson on the Royal Exclusive Show this week.
His reaction came in response to a request by the lawyer for the victims of Jeffrey Epstein that the royal family and UK government hand over Prince Andrew to the FBI for an investigation.
He said: “The FBI have investigated it once, I’m sure they’ve got better things to do.
“Why don’t they investigate Prince Harry?
“Harry got a visa when he admitted taking drugs at school.”
Prince Harry has been embroiled in a legal battle over his US visa application after it was revealed in his memoir Spare that he had previously consumed cannabis, cocaine, and psychedelic mushrooms.
The duke’s legal team were summoned to court on Wednesday for a “motion for relief from judgement”, following pressure from conservative think-tank The Heritage Foundation.
While the judge had ruled in September last year that his documents would not be made public, judge Carl Nichols re-opened the case, with the hearing taking place in the US capital.
This will be the first time the case has sat since the second inauguration of President Trump, who has previously warned Harry that he could face consequences if he lied about taking drugs on his US visa application.
President Trump said in a GB News interview with Nigel Farage in March last year that Harry should not receive preferential treatment.
Asked if the duke should have “special privileges” if he is found to have lied in his application, the president said: “No. We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they’ll have to take appropriate action.”
He also previously vowed, before he was elected, that “Harry is on his own” if he became president again.
The president also has the power to intervene and can ask for the documents regarding his application to be released.
In his controversial memoir, the prince said cocaine “didn’t do anything for me”, adding: “Marijuana is different, that actually really did help me.”
Returning to the idea of turning over Prince Andrew to the FBI, expert Arthur believes it is unlikely to happen.
He said: “They’ve got better things to do than that and also it would embarrass the Royal Family for the FBI to bring a charge against Andrew for something they’ve already done just because a lawyer says the FBI should do it.
“Lawyers are going to say that because they’ve got people to defend.
“The thing is, I think Andrew is his own worst enemy.”
Arthur continued: “He’s arrogant and he does things without thinking and he ignores advice.
“The biggest advice he ignored was doing that show with Emily Maitlis – the Newsnight show.
“It was an absolute disaster for him and the royal family.
“The king had no choice but to cast him aside.”
Prince Andrew paid millions to Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre in an out-of-court settlement three years ago, while denying sexual assault accusations.
In 2020, the FBI asked the Home Office for help to quiz Andrew but that investigation was paused last year.
Last week, High Court files revealed the prince emailed Epstein in February 2011 saying “we’ll play some more soon”.
But in his BBC Newsnight interview, Andrew said he ceased contact with Epstein in December 2010 after they were pictured in New York.
AN ultra-rare 70s VW Beetle left “completely untouched” is up for grabs – and it could be yours for £42,000.
Despite its relatively small size, the VW Beetle has the longest production history in the automotive world.
The 1979 Volkswagen Karmann Beetle Cabriolet has had just one owner after being gifted by the German car marque to the vendor.
The four-seater, which has never been registered, is still covered in its factory-applied protective wax coating.
It has a top speed of around 82mph with only 11 miles on the odometer.
Volkswagen means “people’s car”, and that’s how the Beetle was born in 1938 — as a reliable motor costing less than £100.
In the 86 years since, the VW Beetle has established a reputation as the car which achieved the impossible.
Sales in the UK took off in the swinging Sixties when it became the car of choice for families, young professionals — and hippies.
The rounded old-shape Beetle continued to be made until July 2003 — but now it is finally the end for the car.
However, Volkswagen stopped making convertible Beetles in 1980, making this one of the last to leave the factory in Germany.
It is believed it was for the reason that the owner never drove it.
The car is being sold by Bonhams Cars as part of their Paris sale.
Pierre Tirone, European car specialist at Bonhams, said: “This 1979 Volkswagen Beetle is a true time capsule, with only 11 miles on the odometer and still covered in its factory-applied protective wax.
“Gifted by Volkswagen to the original owner and kept within the same family ever since, it remains completely untouched and unregistered.
“As one of the most iconic and enduring designs, this extraordinary survivor offers a unique opportunity to own a Beetle in near-new, factory-fresh condition.”
The record price for a Beetle is a 1963 example used in the Herbie films which sold for £90,330.
The sale takes place on Thursday, February 6.
A NUCLEAR megayacht, aptly named Thor, is set to revolutionise the industry with its massive 500ft length and massive on board nuclear core.
The mothership from the Ulstein Group aims to harness nuclear energy to become the first superyacht of its kind.
The Norwegian shipbuilders are in the race to make yachting more sustainable and they believe that Thor is the answer.
In 2021, the team came up with their solution: a 149ft vessel that could base itself in remote areas such as the Antarctic.
There, it would serve as a mobile power and charging station for vessels visiting the area, a maximum of four per day.
Øyvind Gjerde Kamsvåg, chief designer of the Ulstei Group, said: “We started talking about it as far back as 2006.
“And although we could see some positives and negatives, we also recognised that the nuclear option would be an extremely tough sell!”
Øyvind posed his pros and cons for using such a volatile energy source.
He continued: “How can you ensure that hydrogen is manufactured in an eco-friendly way? Where do you find green ammonia?
“How much energy do you need to produce the amount of hydrogen and ammonia necessary to power a marine fleet?
“When it comes to hydrogen, you will currently need a tank almost the size of the ship to be able to have a certain range.
“Alternative fuels currently available all have their limitations, but I believe the benefits of nuclear power would far surpass those of the alternatives.
“Thor will not only be an enabler for power, but it will have a research, replenishment and rescue capability and be able to travel around the world.”
Amazing pictures of the ship show its imposing length and sleek design.
Unlike some other similar designs, the nuclear reactor doesn’t appear to be visible from the outside.
But there are plenty of vehicles on board, including a helicopter and even some rescue boats for good measure.
The plan would be to equip Thor with a nuclear reactor to generate 20 MW of clean electricity.
The main issue is scaling a nuclear reactor down enough to fit onto Thor, given how dangerous they can be.
But Ulstein has the answer to that too, with their Sif technology.
Sif is a fully electric expedition cruise ship that can be recharged by Thor.
Øyvind added: “By doing this, we have introduced a different type of infrastructure when it comes to energy availability in these remote areas.”
It also makes Thor more adaptable to situations where it would be relied upon to be the first responder.

There are lots of questions as to whether this is feasible, as some have raised concerns that the design would be too complex.
Another issue will be finding a crew with the right technical expertise to handle a nuclear yacht.
Despite this, Øyvind is confident that Thor could be a game changer in the yachting industry.
Øyvind continued: “After all, while alternative fuels will be an intermediate solution, in the long term, I think nuclear power is the viable option for the future, either for power charging, to produce green fuel or to install as a source of energy.”
One design from Iddes Yacths with a “floating sphere” on top, could hold 160 scientists from across the globe for sustainable exploration of our seas.
Plans for the Earth 300 vessel – which has 13 floors and 22 labs – will have everything scientists will need to study and address problems such as climate change and pollution.
The ship will be fitted with Molten Salt Reactors, a kind of nuclear reactor that uses liquid salt as fuel.
That would make it 100% emission-free as it sails around for 300 days a year.
The gigantic superyacht will be 980 feet long and 200 feet high – and will be divided into four separate sections.
LUKE LITTLER is “annoyed” that oche rivals are raising their game to extraordinary levels against him – then flopping in their next assignments.
On the eve of the start of his Premier League title defence in Belfast, The Nuke expressed his frustration that he is facing fired-up opponents who are playing out of their skin to beat him.
The first time it happened was at the 2024 UK Open in Minehead when Australian Damon Heta averaged 106.04 in a 10-8 quarter-final win but then went out in the next round.
It happened in Bahrain last month when Littler lost to Gerwyn Price, who averaged 115.31 but was then eliminated in the next game.
Littler, the reigning PDC world darts champion, said: “Oh, it does annoy me.
“They’ll probably play the 64th player in the world, throw a mid-90 average but still get the win.
“With me, I just know (they’ll raise their game). I just know within the first leg against anyone, I know what to expect from them.
“It’s weird. They’ll play their best against me but they’ve got to get themselves ready again for the next game.”
Littler – who has won 11 titles as a professional and thrown four nine-darters – continued: “Ever since last year, I’ve known that these players are going to have to pull it out of the bag to beat me.
“But when they do beat me with a high average, it’s also good for them.

Littler concurred with that sentiment, saying: “I’d say it’s the hardest tournament to win week-in, week-out.
“You have got to stay there, you don’t want to go into the second half of the season chasing points and needing loads of points to get through.
“If you can get off to a good start it’s perfect.
“I’m feeling okay. I might feel nervous when it comes to the task on Thursday. There are always nerves in those first few legs. I’m hoping for a quick start against Michael just like the world final.”
Littler frustrated some of his Prem rivals on Wednesday when he arrived late for a photoshoot.
Van Gerwen said: “They need to stop treating him as a baby. He’s not a baby anymore, he’s 18-years-old.
“It happens. He has to learn. You have to learn the hard way.
“It’s a professional sport so you have to be responsible for your actions, simple as that.
“If he turns up late for an interview, I don’t really mind.
“But seven other people were waiting for him, that’s not really nice. But it is what it is.”
LUKE LITTLER has taken the darts world by storm since exploding onto the scene at the PDC World Championship at the beginning of the year.
The Nuke reached the final on his Ally Pally debut at just 16 years of age – smashing records along the way.
He has then gone on to win a host of PDC events and the Premier League title – which he claimed at the O2 Arena by beating world champion Luke Humphries in May.
