Gladiators contestant who crashed out of show reveals horrifying injuries as fans brand game ‘dangerous’
A GLADIATORS contestant who crashed out of the show reveals their horrifying injuries and month long recovery as fans brand the game “dangerous”.
Nikki Billingham, a wedding celebrant from West Yorkshire was competing against gym owner Keeva from Belfast in the physically challenging game show.

However, Nikki was injured during the third event, The Edge, a criss-cross grid in the air that contestants have to run across while gladiators try to push them off.
Dynamite, a weightlifter called Emily Steel, pushed Nikki off the rail and she fell on the safety net below in the TV show The Gladiators.
However, as Dynamite checked in on her, Nikki winced in pain and the commentator said: “There’s some concern from Dynamite, Nikki looks like she’s got herself injured.”
As the clip replayed, the commentator added: “Well it looks like there was something in the landing, let’s hope Nikki is okay.”
Shockingly, Host Bradley Walsh was then forced to halt the show and he urged Nikki to get medical help.
Dynamite then expressed how absolutely amazing Nikki had done so far in the game and said: “No matter what happened up there and how she’s feeling right now, she (has) done so well to come this far, and she should be really proud of herself”.
Later in the show Bradley announced: “Earlier on we saw Nikki sustain an injury on ‘The Edge’.”
His son and co-host Barney added: “She’s been checked over by our brilliant medical team but unfortunately she will not be able to compete in the Eliminator.”
Now, Nikki has explained how bad her injuries were and that it took a while for her to feel better again.
Taking to social media after her elimination, Nikki began by explaining that being on the show was a childhood dream and that she’d had the best experience.
She explained: “You know what you are letting yourself in for and potential risks involved and unfortunately I did sustain an injury.
“When @dynamite_thegladiator did exactly what she was supposed to do and tackled me off the edge unfortunately when we landed, we landed together and my neck and arm took the brunt of it.
“I lost feeling in my arms, compression of my spine and it took a few weeks to come back and a few months to get fully back to where I was.”
But Nikki explained that she’s now back to full strength after hard work and gym sessions.
“Obviously I am gutted I didn’t get to do the eliminator, the most iconic part of the show!!
“I loved Gladiators as a kid growing up and to get on the show literally is a dream come true!.”
She praised the Gladiators in the show as super inspirational and amazing role models before finally thanking everyone.
“Thank you to everyone for your support and all the messages I have received. What a show!!” she said.
Gladiator Dynamite commented on Nikki’s post and said: ‘You did amazing”
However, fans were quick to brand the game dangerous with one viewer stating: “Should rename the event to The Edge of Hospital with how many injuries it creates.”
Another added: “Glad to see she’s back to full strength but that sounds brutal, wouldn’t be surprised if the Edge isn’t in the next series at this rate.”
“It’s definitely more dangerous than the others.. Although I suspect it’s still not quite as dangerous as “Pyramid” was back in the day.
“That had a lot of injuries and is the one that infamously lead to Jet breaking her neck.” expressed a third viewer.

The Gladiators airs on Saturdays on BBC1 and is available on BBCIplayer.
Incredible haul of Bible-era British gold coins found in the Netherlands ‘were spoils of war from conquering Romans’
A STASH of hundreds of Bible-era coins have been found by metal detectors in The Netherlands.
The haul of over 400 early Roman-era coins was found near the city of Utrecht, about 30 miles south of Amsterdam.

![Coin depicting a horse and the name Cunobelinus.](https://www.thesun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/staters-decorated-name-celtic-king-967157958.jpg?strip=all&w=960)
Researchers have discovered that 44 of the gold and silver coins bear the name of Celtic king Cunobeline, who ruled in southern Britain before the Roman conquest.
He ruled between AD 5 and AD 40 in the south-east of the country.
There are also coins bearing the Roman emperor Claudius and the north African king Juba I who once ruled in what is now Algeria.
The coins, which are on display at the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden, date from AD 46.
The museum has revealed that the collection consists of a “unique combination of Roman and British coins” which has never before been found on the mainland of Europe.
It is believed that the British coins were seized by Roman soldiers as spoils of war from their battles across the North Sea.
The amount of money retrieved is said to have been equivalent to about 11 years of wages for a regular Roman soldier.
It is believed that the coins may have been given as a monetary gift given to soldiers to reward them for a successful expedition or campaign, the museum has said.
The two metal-detecting enthusiasts and amateur archaeologists, Gert-Jan Messelaar and Reinier Koelink, discovered the haul of 381 coins in a field in Bunnik.
This area was the northern border of the Roman Empire, known as the Lower German Limes.
The coins were in a shallow pit, less than 30cm deep and stored in a cloth or leather pouch.
This sparked a second search led by the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands which found 23 more.
After being dug up in October 2023, the coins were taken to Landschap Erfgoed Utrecht, a local heritage and conservation organization.
Here they underwent expert analysis by archaeologists before being cleaned up to be put on display for the public.
The Rijksmuseum van Oudheden bought the haul and visitors can see the coins in the new exhibition launched on January 27 called The Netherlands in the Roman Times.
Anton Cruysheer, from the Utrecht Landscape and Heritage Foundation, said: “This is the first time that physical evidence of the return of the troops has been found.
“Apparently they came back with all sorts of things. That is new information.”
Speaking about their find, Messelaar said: “We opened a bottle of champagne; you never find this.”
Meanwhile, in neighbouring Germany, a 400-year-old cache of ancient treasure was found crammed inside the leg of a statue in a church.
Restoration workers found four “bulging” bags of golden coins concealed inside a stone cavity when they were working on a famous statue in the St Andrews Church in Eisleben.
Historians think the bounty was hidden from Swedish looters who frequently plundered the region during the Thirty Years’ War in the 17th century.
Bonnie Blue takes controversy to a new level by RATING the men she slept with during her 12-hour event out of 10
BONNIE Blue has courted controversy once again by rating the men she slept with during her “record-breaking” event.
The adult star claims to have slept with a staggering 1,057 men to clinch the record – one of whom was Brandon Beavis, aka Beavo.

The TikToker has built up a friendship with OnlyFans star Bonnie, with the pair regularly featuring in each other’s social media posts over the past few months.
Beavo also documented his trip to the London mansion to take part in Bonnie’s controversial event, with video footage of their encounter even making its way to adult websites, according to reports.
And now, in a new video on her TikTok page, Bonnie has decided to potentially jeopardise her relationship with Beavo by giving him a rating after their brief session.
“So you’ve all probably seen Beavo in my queue most recently,” she said.
“I’m gonna rate him a good 7 out of 10.”
Bonnie added in the caption: “7/10 for beavo, if he comes again it might be higher.”
People were quick to comment on the video, with one insisting: “She doesn’t remember any of them!”
“I think this whole thing is a load of rubbish and all a publicity stunt,” another added.
“Seriously, nobody wants this information,” a third insisted.
“Compared to the other 1000 plus that were there I’m guessing that’s a good score,” someone else pointed out.
As another called the situation “vile”.
“The biggest turn off in history,” someone else said.
“Can you actually remember who’s who?!” another asked.
Bonnie had never made a secret of her desire to top the record, which is currently held by Lisa Sparks, who slept with 919 men in a day, back in 2004.
And in a statement following the London event Bonnie hosted earlier this month, her PR told Fabulous Online: “She slept with 1,057 people.
“As she hit 1,000, there were still 57 left in the queue who Bonnie wanted to pleasure before ending the 12-hour day.”
Who is Bonnie Blue?
Born in May 1999, Bonnie – whose real name is Tia Billinger – grew up in a small Derbyshire village, and attended the Friesland School in the village of Sandiacre.
She has two half-siblings – a sister and a brother – who have always remained out of the public eye.
She never knew her biological father, and considers stepfather Nicholas Elliott her dad.
Bonnie also became something of a dance star in her local area, and competed in the British Street Dance Championships alongside her sister back in 2015.
She also had a part-time job at Poundstretcher as a teenager.
After school, she began working in recruitment.
In October 2022, Bonnie married Oliver Davidson, who she had started dating when she was just 15.
Once they were married, they moved to Australia, where Bonnie continued working in recruitment.
However, it was in Australia that she decided to pursue a different line of work, and tried her luck as a ‘cam girl’ – crediting Oliver for giving her the confidence to enter the adult entertainment world.
She quickly made a name for herself in the industry, and was soon making £5,000 a week.
But while her work life was going from strength to strength, her relationship was crumbling, and she and Oliver split after almost a decade together.
She moved over to OnlyFans following her cam girl success, and once again found fame on there.
She quickly became a favourite on the site, especially thanks to her “niche” of sleeping with young male students – such as when she bedded 158 students during Nottingham Trent University’s freshers week in September 2024.
Bonnie is now estimated to be worth £3 million, and makes around £600,000 a month on OnlyFans.
Her family are also supportive of her work, with mum Sarah Billinger even claiming she’s her daughter’s PA, and helps clean up after Bonnie’s events – as well as handing out condoms to young clients.
In January 2025, Bonnie claimed to have broken the world record for the most amount of sex in 12 hours, after apparently sleeping with 1,057 men from 1pm to 1am at a secret London event.
There are only 720 minutes in a 12-hour period, meaning if Bonnie’s claims are true, she must have allocated less than a minute per person.
Bonnie’s press representative also said that “video proof” of the event would be shared on the adult star’s X-rated pages in the coming months.
However, it’s since been revealed that Bonnie’s record-breaking vid was pulled from OnlyFans, with a spokesperson for the subscription site revealing: “OnlyFans is a platform designed for creators who have completed our comprehensive onboarding process and choose to monetise their content.
“To keep our community safe, OnlyFans also verifies the age, identity and consent of all parties featured in explicit content on OnlyFans.
“We do not allow a large number of non-OnlyFans creators to be featured on an account even where release forms have been provided.”
