SKY TV customers have been dealt another blow as access to a popular streaming app will be downgraded next month.
The changes come on the same day two popular channels will disappear from Sky and Virgin Media boxes after 35 years of broadcasting.
Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) announced that it is closing Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 on February 28.
But the move also spells an overhaul to its Discovery+ platform, which Sky TV customers receive access to at no extra cost.
At present, Sky viewers get the Discovery+ Standard tier, including content from channels like Discovery and TLC, as well Eurosport’s coverage.
But that plan is being discontinued by WBD, so Sky customers will be downgraded to the Discovery+ Basic plan.
Discovery+ Basic currently has no sport channels or content.
Much of Eurosport’s content will be merged with TNT Sports, which you need to pay extra to access.
TNT Sports (which includes access to the Discovery+ Premium content) costs £30 per month.
“I signed a new contract in January 2025,” one disappointed user wrote on Sky’s forum.
“I have got sky sports and eurosport for watching BSB racing. which we get for free, I have now found out that Eurosport is moving to TNT.
“And you have to pay a subscription for that. i would not have signed with sky if I had known that.”
Some sport content will continue to be available free-to-air on the Quest channel.
This will include every MotoGP Sprint race, a new weekly cycling show, as well as highlights of the Giro d’Italia and La Vuelta a España.
On the Tour de France, WBD Sports Europe chief Scott Young confirmed “parts” will be shown on Quest.
And the shake-up won’t impact the Olympics either, with Discovery set to continue sharing the rights with the BBC.
“Combining Eurosport and TNT Sports content in the UK and Ireland will enable us to offer a single, premium viewing experience for sports fans,” Young said this week.
“We know audiences are looking for a slightly simpler journey on where to find the sport they love.
“This move will also continue to best deliver value for our leagues and federation partners, as we continue our 35 years plus commitment to investment and championing of sport on our screens.”
It comes as TNT are set to acquire the rights to the Six Nations from the BBC.
Reports suggest highlight packages will remain on terrestrial TV as the competition is classed as a listed event.
Young confirmed they are “looking” at Six Nations but a deal will prove “very challenging”.
Eurosport launched as a co-production between Sky and the European Broadcasting Union in 1989.
The brand and channel will continue to exist outside the UK and Ireland.
Analysis by Jamie Harris, Assistant Technology and Science Editor at The Sun
Broadcasting is going through an almighty shift at the moment with the push toward streaming at a key point.
Despite this latest move, Discovery+’s days are likely numbered.
The streaming service has closed in several countries already to make way for a replacement, Max, bringing HBO and Discovery content under one roof.
The UK is one of the few big markets where Max hasn’t launched yet because of existing agreements with Sky, allowing Sky Atlantic to air big HBO-made hits like Game of Thrones and The White Lotus.
But the pair recently announced a new deal that will pave the way for Max’s launch in the UK early 2026 as a standalone app, while Sky customers will get access at no extra cost.
So expect even bigger changes in the TV and streaming world next year.
CHLOE Brockett screamed in fear as her boyfriend Jack Fincham was jailed after his dog Elvis attacked two people.
The former Towie star shouted out “no” in court as she faced six weeks without the 33-year-old.
However, Chloe was determined to stand by her man as she told friends the verdict had “brought them closer” following a stressful day in court.
Love Island star Jack was released hours later on bail as he launched an appeal – meaning he could be reunited with girlfriend Chloe, who he shares a home with.
A pal told The Sun: “When the judge handed Jack a custodial sentence Chloe screamed out ‘no’. She was hysterical and had to be supported by family members as she repeatedly said ‘what am I going do without my best friend?’
“Jack tried to reassure Chloe by putting a thumbs up but that did nothing to calm Chloe as she was supported out of court.
People forget how young Chloe is because she’s been on our screens for so long but it’s a lot to deal with for a 24 year old girl.
“She was willing to pay anything to get Jack out on bail and home with her.
“The shock of thinking they would have to spend six weeks apart has brought them closer together.
“Chloe is Jack’s rock right now.”
Elvis first attacked runner Robert in Swanley, Kent, in September 2022.
He then mauled an unnamed woman in Grays, Essex, in June 2024 but no harm was done.
Presiding magistrate Anne Wade, said that Fincham was subject to a suspended sentence order at the time.
This was after Fincham was caught speeding down the hard shoulder in a BMW while on cocaine.Ms Wade said this order would be activated in part, adding that “we find no reason not to do so” as she jailed the star.
Fincham was also ordered to pay £3,680 – including £200 compensation fee to Robert and a £50 compensation fee to the other victim.A payment plan of £400-a-month will be set up upon his release from prison, Southend Magistrates’ Court heard.

DUNNES Stores opened its first store on Patrick Street in Cork in 1944 - and it was an instant hit.
Shoppers from all over the city rushed to the store to snap up quality clothing at pre-war prices in Ireland’s first ‘shopping frenzy’.
During the excitement, a window was forced in and the police had to be called to help control the crowds hoping to bag founder Ben Dunne’s ‘Better Value’ bargains.
Dunnes later opened more stores in the 1950s and began to sell groceries in 1960 – starting with apples and oranges.
The retailer said: “Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town.
“Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong.
“Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas.”
The retailer’s first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960.
They added: “In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed.
“Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England.”
Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.
RISING stand-up comedy star Ken Flores was in the middle of his Butterfly Effect national tour at the time of his untimely passing.
Here we take a look at his life, career and cause of death.
Ken Flores tragically died on January 28, 2025, at the age of 28, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office told TMZ.
The outlet reported that he suffered a cardiac arrest at his home, citing law enforcement sources.
It added that a person at the scene called police and administered CPR until paramedics arrived, but Ken was pronounced dead at the scene.
An official cause of death has not been released as of January 30, 2025.
Ken’s family posted a statement announcing the tragic news on his official Instagram account.
It reads: “It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of our friend, brother, and son, Kenyi Flores.”
They ended the message by asking for privacy, adding that they they are “shocked and devastated by the loss”.
Ken Flores grew up in a working-class Latino family in Chicago, Illinois.
He began his comedy career by posting funny videos on social media platforms as a teenager, with some of his early clips going viral and being featured on WorldStarHipHop.
In a 2023 interview with the Comedy Gazelle, Ken opened up about how he first got into stand-up comedy after his family relocated to Aurora — about an hour west of Chicago.
Ken said: “I was working at PNC Bank at the time, I was a teller, and the owner of the Comedy Shrine in Aurora used to bank with us.
“Every time he would come in, I would mess with him. He kept inviting me to his open mic. He’s like, “Man, you’re really funny. Come to the mic, come to the mic.’
“Then one day I went, just to see, and I guess this is my big head or ego talking, but I watched 40 people go up and, in my head, I was like, ‘These people suck!’
“I was like, ‘I’m better than that.’ So, I signed up, and then once you sign up, you realize, ‘Oh s**t, this is not as easy as I thought.’ You kind of get hit in the face with a reality check.
“But at the same time, if you get that one big pop, you get bit by the standup bug and you’re addicted. Ever since I went up the first time, I couldn’t stop.”
Ken gained national recognition for his raw, unfiltered comedic style and relatable jokes about his upbringing and personal struggles.
He co-created the LatinXL comedy show, with the aim of providing more opportunities for Latino comedians.
Ken had amassed over 250,000 followers combined on TikTok and Instagram, where he showcased his quick-witted crowd work and bold humor.
At the time of his death, Flores was in the middle of his 2025 Butterfly Effect Tour.
It kicked off on January 10, 2025 in Portland, Oregon.
His last performance was in Norcross, Georgia, on January 25, 2025 — just days before his untimely passing.

“It’s €35 for this, but I do get it. It is a jacket, and I’m going to wear this for a long time.”
The cute jacket is available in sizes XS to XXL.
Lauren said: “I’m a size 10, and I bought a size small; it fits me nicely.
“And by the way, I don’t think that these come in any of the colours.
“I did see a black one sitting right next would but the zip went up the centre. Same material, but just different style.”

Its description reads: “This loose-fitting jacket is crafted from a softly textured boucle fabric.
