After several hours of grueling interrogation, Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, has left the office of the National Investigative Bureau (NIB).
Abronye, as he is commonly called, was invited by the NIB to assist in their investigation into some corruption-related allegations he made on Accra-based Movement TV about the President and his government.
He alleged that the President is keeping about GHC 550 million meant for persons whose appointments have been revoked.
Apart from that, he also alleged corrupt acts in the recruitment and revocation processes.

Abronye made himself available to the National Investigation Bureau in the company of his lawyers, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah and Enoch Afoakwa.
He had the backing of his political party’s leadership and party base.
Henry Nana Boakye who was at the Bureau with Abronye reported that “Chairman Abronye just finished his engagement with the NIB and is out of their premises.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to his lawyers, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah and Enoch Afoakwa, as well as to all dedicated party faithfuls who accompanied him.
We sincerely appreciate your support”.
