Yes, for those who have yet to watch Daredevil: Born Again, just know that Bullseye kills Foggy Nelson in episode one of the show. What a start right? But now, in this shocking moment, fans noticed a particular Easter Egg that seems to hint at the survival of Elden Henson’s character. Join us to ease your curiosity and unravel the possibility of Foggy faking his death.

Fans noticed an Easter Egg amid Foggy Nelson’s tragic death

Since the premiere of Daredevil: Born Again, fans have been left reeling as Elden Henson’s character Foggy Nelson, meets his tragic end. Yes, in a gripping single-shot sequence from episode one, Bullseye appears to exact revenge on Daredevil, and assassinates Foggy, while trying to take out Deborah Ann Woll’s character Karen Page.

This abrupt loss of Matt Murdock’s loyal friend and supporter sent shockwaves through the fanbase, leading many to question Foggy’s fate. That’s when eagle-eyed fans like @vrdope spotted a subtle detail that sparked hope. As Matt, Karen, and Foggy exit their law firm (prior to the tragedy), the adjacent building displays the number “468.”

Now, for those unaware, this seemingly casual number has a close similarity to Daredevil Vol. 2, Issue #88 (legacy number 468), titled The Secret Life of Foggy Nelson. Why? Because that’s the comic where Foggy fakes his death and enters witness protection. Therefore, this Easter egg has led fans to speculate that the series is hinting at a similar storyline.

Since fans came across this Easter Egg, the internet began flooding with theories about Foggy’s potential return. Considering how in the comics, Foggy’s apparent death was orchestrated to protect him from unseen threats, fans believe that Daredevil: Born Again might be hinting at the possibility of adapting this narrative in the series.

Additionally, executive producers of Daredevil: Born Again have also hinted at Foggy’s continued presence in the show. Brad Winderbaum acknowledged during an interview with Brandon Davis (via YouTube), that both Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson are set to return in Season 2.

Without going into spoiler territory, I will say that both Deborah and Elden are coming back for Season 2. I don’t think there’s a Matt Murdock story without those two characters, and I’m excited to see them both in Season 2 as well.

Emphasizing the two characters’ impact on Matt Murdock’s character development, Brad Winderbaum noted the difficulty of killing off Foggy. So now, Winderbaum’s comment seems to corroborate with fans’ Easter Egg, suggesting how Foggy and Karen are set to return in different ways in the next season.

While Foggy’s death has left a void in the series, it’s these hints that offer hope for his survival and his continuation in the MCU.
