With the arrival of April 1st, Fortnite has brought back the traditional April Fools’ Day quests. This time, they are freshly baked out of the oven and ready to take you on a quirky and unconventional ride. They are here to give you a break from your usual Battle Royale routine.
These quick missions are packed with surprises and a dash of humor, so while they may seem a bit strange at first, they’re definitely worth completing as they provide decent rewards.

Let’s dive into how you can easily knock out these tasks and earn some extra XP along the way.
All April’s Fool Quests in Fortnite and how to complete them
This year’s batch of crazy tasks is designed to throw you off and keep things lighthearted. While some of these quests might seem confusing or a little out of the ordinary, we’ve broken them down so you can complete them without a hitch.
Here’s the full list of Fortnite April Fools’ Day quests:

- Place anything but first: This is a simple quest that requires you to play a match and let yourself get eliminated. Only need to do this once.
- Break open chests instead of searching them: This requires players to find a chest and smash it open with their pickaxe. Need to do this three times.
- Touch grass: Relax, don’t panic. The game’s not asking you to touch the real one, but simply to find grass on the map and stay on it for 60 Seconds.
- Drive safely on the road for 100 meters: This requires you to drive in the game as though you’re taking a driving test. So drive safely for 100 meters (no offroad).
- Land over here and over there: This requires players to drop from the battle bus and land on specific POIs: Sakura Soccer Stadium, northwest of Outlaw Oasis, and Overlook Lighthouse, northeast of the Shining Span bridge. This can be completed in 2 matches.
- Find the coolest player on the island: For this, players need to look in a mirror to see their reflection. Simply admire the coolest player on the island… you.
- Collect non-fish from fishing: While fishing, try to catch an item that’s not a fish. So, like almost always.
- Survive seconds before collecting any weapons in a match: Time to be part of an “every weapon is a lava” challenge for the first 120 seconds after landing. Simply rat it out after landing.
Each quest rewards you with 2K XP, and after you complete one, three, or five quests, you’ll unlock bonus goal rewards of 10K XP for each milestone. So, make sure to get them all done before the event expires.
In the end, with these quirky tasks, you can rack up some XP and enjoy the playful spirit of April Fools’ Day in Fortnite.
