One Punch Man Season 1 was a massive hit that not only established a successful franchise but also showcased just what Madhouse can do. It is one of the most celebrated studios with some of the biggest anime hits under its belt, and it proved itself yet again.

Hence, when One Punch Man Season 2 was handed over to J.C.Staff, fans were not that happy. This studio is definitely very good, but everyone had doubts about whether it could match the first season’s appeal.
Sadly, the second season saw a decline in animation quality and confirmed that changing the studio was not a good idea. Now that there is a huge buzz regarding the third season, concerns over the adaptation have resurfaced.
The fans must accept what they can get

The same studio that animated One Punch Man Season 2 is also doing Season 3, and fans are already aware of the risks. They do not have high expectations regarding the visuals and have accepted the fact that J.C.Staff cannot match Madhouse.
J.C.Staff mostly has experience animating slice-of-life and romance anime like Toradora!, The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, etc. On the other hand, Madhouse is renowned for giving us gems like Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Hunter x Hunter (2011), Monster, Death Note, etc.
Here, the only way to save this season will be to follow the manga as faithfully as possible. If J.C.Staff cannot deliver a spectacular animation, they must compensate with a reliable and engaging story that would not try to cut corners.
In a recent interview on J.C.Staff’s official website, Atsushi Fujishiro, One Punch Man Season 3 producer, became candid about the studio’s plans with the anime.
We’re working hard to make sure we don’t let those expectations down.
He is aware of the massive weight of anticipations that J.C.Staff is carrying and has assured that the preparations are progressing steadily.
However, even though the makers are assuring about their dedication, the end product will speak for itself. What we will get and whether Season 3 will be able to, at least, surpass Season 2 is something that only time will tell.
They cannot mess up One Punch Man‘s The Monster Association arc

This season will focus on The Monster Association arc, which is the longest in the franchise. It is also arguably the most famous because of the stellar fight sequences that take place between Garou and Saitama.
Though a good animation would have elevated this to a new level, fans might have to make do with a subpar quality. However, a well-paced and faithful storyline might gloss over any visual shortcomings.

A great example of this is the animation of Attack on Titan‘s final season. Mappa’s heavy reliance on CGI and tweaks was criticized, but the adaptation did not flop. Similarly, if One Punch Man Season 3 wants to become successful, the makers must be extra careful to look after the other departments.
Yes, the animation quality is definitely uncertain, but the story does not have to suffer because of it. If fans accept this trade-off, One Punch Man Season 3 can still become a hit despite its imperfections.
