Southern Charm star Taylor Ann Green doesn’t think her costar Craig Conover was in the wrong when he chose not to defend his ex Paige DeSorbo from infidelity rumors.
“He doesn’t owe her that. I don’t think he owes her that. She broke up with him and he doesn’t owe her,” Green, 30, said on the Tuesday, March 4, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “He didn’t start the rumor, so he’s like, ‘That’s not on me. I didn’t go around starting this rumor that you cheated on me. Why do I have to stand up when you broke my heart? I had a ring for you and now I’m having to go, Oh, she didn’t cheat on me.’”
She added, “Like, a break up is a break up and you, kind of, part ways and you don’t owe each other anything anymore.”
DeSorbo, 32, revealed on a December 2024 episode of her “Giggly Squad” podcast that she broke up with Conover, 36, after three years of dating. Rumors soon swirled that the Summer House star had been unfaithful, which she vehemently denied. Conover, meanwhile, did not publicly address the speculation at all.

“That rumor — and it was very early on in their relationship — allegedly … was just going around BravoCon,” Green recalled of the rampant speculation. “It was just, like, people were chatting about it and I repeated the rumor in that moment [on Southern Charm]. I don’t like to repeat rumors unless I have facts and proof, so I was hurt at that moment. I apologized, and so, I take it back.”
In addition to denying the cheating claims, DeSorbo stressed on her podcast in December 2024 that “no one did anything” wrong that led to the demise of her relationship.
“I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want,” she said at the time. “I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real-time and what you want for your future.”
Conover, meanwhile, thought DeSorbo’s decision to call it quits was “very unexpected.”

“I guess I gotta start living again, whatever that looks like. Whatever my new normal looks like — I have to start,” the Sewing Down South founder said in a January Instagram Story video. “‘Gratitude will get you through this, with time comes clarity’ – all of the advice, I’m trying to listen to. But, yeah. [It happened] right before the holidays. I was very shocked. And it’s OK.”
He continued, “You can’t control other people, you can only control how you react to it. Remember to be kind to Paige and me and yourselves and all of that good stuff. … [It’s] a 3-year relationship, it’s your best friend who you talk to all day every day, and then they’re just gone.”
