As The Big Bang Theory continues to expand its universe with new shows and spin-offs, there has been much speculation about which characters could take center stage. While characters like Raj and Penny often lead such discussions, there is another duo that might make even more sense.

Mayim Bialik, who played Amy on the show, has fueled further intrigue about an unexpected spin-off pairing. After reuniting with co-star Melissa Rauch on her show Night Court, Bialik expressed her enthusiasm for revisiting The Big Bang Theory, sparking fresh speculation.
Mayim Bialik reunited with The Big Bang Theory co-star Melissa Rauch
Mayim Bialik recently joined her former Big Bang Theory co-star Melissa Rauch on her show Night Court, joining the sitcom as “an unstable version” of herself, who has an unhealthy obsession with Rauch’s Judge Abby Stone.
“It was really fantastic to get to work with Melissa again,” the actress said, reflecting on their on-screen reunion. Bialik also shared that their friendship has remained strong since The Big Bang Theory ended.

“Obviously, we’ve kept up our friendship and our relationship over the years since Big Bang Theory ended,” she told Yahoo Entertainment, as she expressed her admiration for Rauch and her work on Night Court.
She said,
I’m proud of all that she has continued to work on since Big Bang Theory and just getting to be part of something also so iconic from my childhood — I was a huge Night Court fan.
“I love making comedy with [Melissa]. I love being playful with her, and that was some of my favorite times on Big Bang Theory,” she further said, hinting at an unexpected pairing for the potential Big Bang Theory spin-off surrounding her character, Amy, and Melissa Rauch’s Bernadette.
Amy and Bernadette could add a fresh twist in a potential The Big Bang Theory spin-off
With a Big Bang Theory spin-off already in development, fans are eager to see their favorite characters return. Penny has been one of the leading contenders for a spin-off, while many also hope to see Raj getting his happily ever after.
However, while they do offer an intriguing prospect for a potential spin-off, another duo could offer an even more unexpected and exciting twist, Amy and Bernadette.

While they were both close to Penny, their dynamic with each other was less explored, making their potential spin-off a fresh opportunity for deeper storytelling.
Beyond their shared background in science, both are working mothers of two, creating a natural foundation for bonding despite their opposite personalities. Their occasional conflicts would also add humor and tension, making for an engaging series as they balance their personal and professional life.
Kaley Cuoco’s Penny could make recurring appearances, but centering the spin-off on Amy and Bernadette would give fans a truly new and compelling addition to The Big Bang Theory universe.
What did Mayim Bialik say about returning to The Big Bang Theory?

Mayim Bialik has been quite open about returning to her role as Amy in The Big Bang Theory. When asked about reprising her role as Amy, the Call Me Kat actress said,
I think that there’s a lot of interest and love for these characters, and I’d be super happy to get to revisit [it] in any way.
Meanwhile, a new spin-off is already in the works with Kevin Sussman’s Stuart Bloom expected to take on the lead role. Speaking about it in a recent interview with TV Line, Bialik said, “I have no qualms about that. I think it would be fantastic.”
Additionally, she has also shared her admiration for working with Melissa Rauch. Given their strong rapport, a spin-off featuring Amy and Bernadette could offer fresh storytelling and new character dynamics within The Big Bang Theory universe.
