A LUCKY Irish lotto player has scooped a handy sum in tonight’s draw – but narrowly missed out on the huge prize.

The winning numbers were 4, 5, 12, 30, 31, 35, and the bonus number was 1.
The lucky punter missed out on scooping the life-changing sum by just one number.
They won the match five plus the bonus draw, meaning they had five out of six numbers correct.
And they had the bonus number right as well.
If they had the last number right, the player would have walked away with over €2 million in their pocket.
As it is, the match five plus one draw was worth a handy €31,678.
There was no winner of the massive money jackpot, which will now be added onto the next Lotto draw.
There was also no winner of the Lotto Plus 1 draw, with a pot set at a tidy €1,000,000.
The winning numbers were 1, 11, 14, 20, 34, 45, and the bonus number was 13.
And the Lotto Plus 2 draw, which is set at €250,000, also saw no winners tonight.
The prize winning numbers were 7, 25, 32, 41, 43, 47, and 3.

Just yesterday, the Donnelly family from Co Louth spoke to media after claiming their winnings.
The 18-strong group of brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews, have been playing the Lotto for two years in the hope of winning big.
Head of the family syndicate, Kenneth Donnelly told the story of how the family found out about the shock win.
He said: “We’ve been playing as a family for two years, and it’s always been a fun way to stay connected.
“We’ve had small wins of €4 or €8, which we usually bundled together to celebrate at Christmas.
“I’m usually very good at checking the tickets on the night, or soon after the draw.
“But this time, it slipped my mind, and my wife text me that the winning EuroMillions Plus ticket was bought in The Mell – our local!
“When I saw the winning numbers, I nearly died with shock! I was at work in Dublin and had the ticket sitting in the car back in Drogheda.
“I immediately had to drive back to check the ticket, and when I scanned it on the app, it popped up ‘You’ve Won Big’.
“I sent a screenshot to our group chat, (not-so) very creatively called ‘Lotto-group’, and it just erupted in excitement!”
