With a platform to help it scale and become more popular, it can be like Arcane (Netflix’s animated series based on League of Legends) and Castlevania. This is not the first time that Netflix has taken on the task of adapting a video game.
This is how Dante could come back into the spotlight. With the kind of swagger and effortless style that he has, which can be said to be a mix of confidence with cockiness, he can shake things up in the anime scene.
Dante is already very popular (proving that the character is marketable and lovable), and with a much clearer plot-driven narrative, his essence could evolve to the next level.
Netflix’s chance to elevate Dante
Dante has been known for delivering over-the-top action sequences, his trademark snide and witty banter, and an attitude that doesn’t give a care in the world. This mix of focused and lackadaisical, along with his unique position and history, makes him enigmatic and intriguing.

With Castlevania producer Adi Shankar behind the adaptation, Devil May Cry has the potential to stand at the top of its genre. The Netflix adaptations have stayed consistent with the source, so as long as Netflix is able to nail the visuals and animation, the series is a sure-shot hit.
