The annual event, this year held at the Fairmont Century Plaza, celebrates the achievments of black women in Hollywood.
Supermodel and TV star Tyra stole the spotlight in a black jewelled corset which she paired with sleek black gloves.
Wicked star Cynthia Erivo, who was an honouree at the event, wowed in a dramatic black tulle gown by Maison Margiela.
She finished off her striking look with a pair of Tabi shoes, adding the perfect Elphaba-inspired touch to her outfit.
Cynthia posed on the carpet alongside Keke Palmer who opted for an all orange affair.
The star wore a corest style dress with a sheer skirt which showed off the actresses under garments.
Keke’s daring look was topped off with a matching scarf and an effortless copper bob.
Actress Zoe Kravitz kept it effortlessly chic in a white mini dress which she accessorised with some simple gold jewellery and a belt as well as a pair of oversized sunglasses.
Singer Tyla also walked the carpet wearing a sequined tan mini dress and gladiator stilettos, opting for a shorter hair do and hoops.
Other celebs in attendance included, Jonathan Majors, Meagan Good, Euphoria star Storm Reid and Coco Jones.
Also honoured at the event was US singer Teyana Taylor, who has previously been romantically linked to Leonardo DiCaprio, she was awarded for her groundbreaking work across film and music.
Actress Marla Gibbs and Emmy-nominated screen writer Raamla Mohamed, the creative behind hit show Reasonable Doubt, were likewise recognised for their talents and contributions to the entertainment world.
The celebration is one of many events happening in Los Angeles currently ahead of the 97th Academy Awards which will take place on March 3rd.
