AN indoor waterpark at one of the UK’s best holiday parks will open its doors to people not staying on-site – one of the first times since pre-Covid.
Bluestone in Pembrokeshire is often dubbed the “cheaper Center Parcs” and has won a number of awards in recent years.

Currently, the Blue Lagoon is only open to park guests[/caption]
And one of the park’s main attractions is the Blue Lagoon, a huge indoor water complex with pools, waterslides and wave machines.
The waterpark used to open to the public back in 2019, before the park closed during Covid.
When it reopened, this perk was never reinstated, so only guests at the park can use the complex.
However, the holiday park now instead opens it for select days throughout the year for the public, mainly for fundraising events.
This year, it will open on April 15, raising money for Fishguard & Goodwick Young Person’s Trust’s POINT Youth Centre.
The pool will be open for 2hr30 sessions, running from 6:30pm until 9pm.
It will be open to both adults and kids, with tickets costing £11.55 for both, or £2.88 for kids under four.
There are two other dates it will open to the public this year as well.
On May 17, the charity it will support when it opens to the public will be Milford Youth Matters.
And on October 28, the opening will support Sandy Bear Children’s Bereavement Charity.
A Bluestone spokesperson said: “These events provide an opportunity for community members to enjoy the Blue Lagoon while directly contributing to local causes.”
Last year it also opened to the public on August 27, to support both Paul Sartori Hospice at Home and Team Cruising.
However, locals have been left unimpressed that the park never reopened to guests when it restarted back in 2021.
Thankfully, there is a way to get around using the pool without having to stay at the holiday park overnight.
Bluestone has little-known day passes, that include access to the Blue Lagoon.
Also including access to The Hive and Serendome play areas, tickets cost £25.
The only catch is you will need to know someone already staying at the holiday park.
The 500-acre resort was named the best holiday park in Wales by Which last year.
It was also named the third best in the UK – beating Center Parcs.
What is it like to stay at Bluestone?
Mum Louise Roberts recently stayed at the holiday park.
For starters, there’s Woodland Warriors — where guests can have a go at “shooting” family and friends during a round of laser combat — or High Ropes, an obstacle course 60ft up in the treetops.
My family had to go one step further, as usual, and decided to take part in Sky Wires — an exhilarating, two-mile zip-wire course which sent us flying through the forest.
The Serendome is a giant transparent dome packed with free and affordable activities for children, whatever the weather.
These include a miniature Sky Walk for little daredevils, Wacky Racers wooden go-karts, water and sand play and live shows.
Over at The Hive, climbing walls, messy play and miniature zip lines await little ones.
There’s also the Knights Tafarn pub, which has a casual feel and accepts walk-ins, making it very convenient for spontaneous visits while just around the corner from the village, the Well Spa is an award- winning haven of relaxation.
In the mean time, here is an indoor waterpark in the UK that is open to the public and people have even compared to feeling like being abroad.
We’ve also rounded up three of the UK’s biggest indoor waterparks.
