Gene Hackman and wife found dead at Santa Fe home

The 95-year-old actor was found dead at his Santa Fe home along with his wife and dog. Gene Hackman was married to pianist Betsy Arakawa and led a peaceful life away from the spotlight ever since he retired from acting. The news broke on Thursday as confirmed by Variety

Arakawa was 63 years old and the three dead bodies were recovered from the couple’s home subsequently for autopsy. Authorities suspect no foul play at the time, but the real cause of their deaths will be revealed in due time. A preliminary investigation is being conducted presently.

Hackman made a name for himself in the industry with great roles in projects like Bonnie & Clyde, Welcome to Moosport, and Absolute Power.
