The Apothecary Diaries is on a roll with its fame being skyrocketed to new heights with every episode. It has been consistently delivering exceptional storytelling, making fans crave more of its content.
Recently, the very romantic and kind of suggestive episode of The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 has renewed anticipation amongst fans who were dying for something like this. The main couple, Jinshi and Maomao, do not get many romantic moments, and now that we have them, we cannot get enough.
This is all the more reason why the cour 2, which will air from April 4, is something that fans should not miss at any cost. We should be graced with all the interactions that we have been patiently waiting for.
The intense build-up between Maomao and Jinshi
In the previous episode, we see Jinshi taking Maomao with him to a hunting party, where he must attend as the King’s brother. Maomao doesn’t know about his royal status yet, plus there is an underlying threat of the assassination of Jinshi.
The assassins decide to use a Flintlock gun, deemed highly advanced for that time, to execute their plan. However, when they shoot at Jinshi, he is with Maomo, and they both escape by falling into a waterfall.
Later, the pair find themselves in a cave where they must shed their soaked clothes, and this is where things get interesting. They both come closer in their unfortunate circumstance and though nothing really happens, fans are more than happy with what little intimacy they could get.
In the latter half of the episode, there comes a time when Maomao and Jinshi fall together on the ground. But the way they fall promises more physical closeness in the next episode.
What to expect from cour 2 of The Apothecary Diaries season 2
Thankfully, The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 is not taking any breaks and is jumping to its 2nd cour right after the 1st cour. The first cour will end with the next episode, and here, things will pick up from the part where Jinshi and Maomao fall on top of each other.
We expect to see Maomao discovering Jinshi not being a eunuch in a very embarrassing manner. This truth should change their relationship dynamic in the next cour because now Maomao will realize how Jinshi is way more interested in her romantically than she previously thought.

This cour will also explore a lot more serious topics because we will dive into the part of the story that will deal with the kidnapping attempt of Maomao. The gun showcased in the previous episode was just a warning symbol about the upcoming war and unrest in Jinshi and Maomao’s lives.
The excitement surrounding the release of the next cour is valid and contagious. Hopefully, we will be compensated with some really good moments between our couple as we have been kept without any romance for far too long.
