The singer in question is rocker Perry Farrell who is the front man for 90s band Jane’s Addiction.

He is considered very influential when it comes to alternative rock.

Perry’s band are known for songs like Jane Says and Stop.

Today a fan posted a picture of the singer and some of his followers couldn’t believe it was him.

The caption read: “Perry Farrell makes first appearance since FIGHTING Dave Navarro.

“Farrell is at Lollapalooza India.”

However, some fans were shocked by how he looked.

One fan thought it looked like a “wax work” of him, while another was second guessing it was Perry.

STAGE BRAWL

Janes Addiction hit the headlines when Perry and guitarist Dave Navarro had a brawl on stage last September.

The fight caused the rock band have pulled the plug on their remaining string of dates following the bust-up on stage in Boston.

In shock scenes, Perry squared up to Dave and screamed at him while crew ran to break up the argument.

Perry was caught on camera as he lost his cool while playing Ocean Days.

He was captured shouting and screaming into his mic on stage before appearing to yell ‘F***you’ and barging into Dave.

After footage of the fight emerged, Perry told Variety: “This weekend has been incredibly difficult and after having the time and space to reflect, it is only right that I apologise to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, fans, family and friends for my actions during Friday’s show.

“Unfortunately, my breaking point resulted in inexcusable behavior, and I take full accountability for how I chose to handle the situation.”

A statement released by Dave said: “Due to a continuing pattern of behaviour and the mental health difficulties of our singer Perry Farrell, we have come to the conclusion that we have no choice but to discontinue the current US tour.

“Our concern for his personal health and safety as well as our own has left us no alternative. We hope that he will find the help he needs.

“We deeply regret that we are not able to come through for all our fans who have already bought tickets. We can see no solution that would either ensure a safe environment on stage or reliably allow us to deliver a great performance on a nightly basis.”

The musician signed off the statement with: “Our hearts are broken. Dave, Eric and Stephen.”

WIFE SPEAKS OUT

Perry wife has ALSO since spoken out and claimed to know the real reason her husband hit his bandmate.

Etty Lau, who has been married to the musician for 22 years, posted a lengthy statement on Instagram in defence of her husband.

She claimed he had been suffering with vocal issues and, ‘feeling his band mates were drowning him out with their instruments, lost it’.

Etty said: “Perry’s frustration had been mounting, night after night, he felt that the stage volume had been extremely loud and his voice was being drowned out by the band.

“Perry had been suffering from tinnitus and a sore throat every night.

“But when the audience in the first row, started complaining up to Perry cussing at him that the band was planning too loud and that they couldn’t hear him, Perry lost it.”

She also said the band started playing Ocean Days before Farrell was ready and that he ended up “screaming just be to be heard”.

Etty said “Eric Avery won the fight”, after the bassist stepped in to restrain Farrell.

She added that her husband was “a crazed beast for the next half an hour” and had a breakdown, crying backstage.
