Between the 5 Admirals, Who Is the Weakest: One Piece Powerscaling

Ever since the pre-timeskip era of One Piece, some of the greatest threats to Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are the Marine Admirals. Akainu, Kizaru, and Aokiji undeniably overwhelmed them. The trio was tasked with protecting the execution platform by themselves at Ace’s execution, proving their power.

With Akainu’s promotion to Fleet Admiral and Aokiji’s resignation, two more Admirals were introduced in the post-timeskip era. Fujitora and Ryokugyu are the new Admirals, alongside Kizaru. All of their personalities and abilities are quite different from one another.

So out of 5 Admirals we’ve met in One Piece, one of them has to be the weakest, and we know it’s probably not the original trio. However, we also know Fujitora and Ryokugyu aren’t small fry. So, who is the least impressive Admiral among the five?

Are the five Admirals on equal grounds, or is there proof that one of them is the weakest?

All of the Admirals have varying Devil Fruits of immense power. Akainu controls magma, Aokiji has ice powers, Kizaru becomes light, Fujitora manipulates gravity, and Ryokugyu can turn into flora.

They also know how to use their powers in versatile ways. The Mori Mori no Mi might sound strange, but Ryokugyu uses roots to even drain liquid from people. Meanwhile, Fujitora can summon a meteor. Aokiji and Akainu seem to be on equal grounds since they battled each other for 10 days straight.

Kizaru’s speed is unmatched amongst the five, so he isn’t the weakest. He also potentially has awakened his Devil Fruit if this theory is true. Akainu’s raw power and ruthlessness make him possibly the strongest, with Aokiji rivaling his strength and prowess.

So that leaves our newest additions, Fujitora and Ryokugyu. Many fans are still gauging their strength, but the Dressrosa Arc proved the former’s physical prowess and how overwhelming his Devil Fruit can be. He also brought down a meteor on Mary Geoise, so he’s probably safe from being the weakest.

That leaves us with Ryokugyu. Before we dig into the crux of his personality, it’s established that the Mori Mori no Mi is versatile and shouldn’t be underestimated. However, he doesn’t have a lot to show for it.

He’s an Akainu fanboy and believes the World Nobles are Gods. His biggest feat is soloing the Beast Pirates, including King and Queen, but they were already heavily injured. Moreover, he was heavily affected by Shanks’ Conqueror Haki later, while the Emperor was miles away.

Is personality enough to decide which Admiral is the weakest?

In short, yes. While the other Admirals have their own forms of justice and morals, Ryokugyu mostly tries to emulate Akainu. He even tried to kill Luffy just to gain the Fleet Admiral’s approval. He’s just not that interesting.

His achievements are also not that impressive. His defeating the Beast Pirates was akin to kicking someone while they’re down. Out of everyone, Momonosuke was able to surprise him, and then Shanks’ Haki took care of the rest. Mind you, the Emperor wasn’t even in Wano.

So, overall, it seems like Ryokugyu is the weakest and needs to step up his game. His personality makes him the worst Admiral, but the way he let Shanks’ Haki overwhelm him solidified him as the weakest Admiral out of the five in One Piece.
