Cerny has enjoyed a productive week away on international duty.

His superb form for Rangers saw him start both of his country’s opening World Cup qualifiers.

He featured in the 2-1 win over Faroe Islands last week and scored as they beat Gibraltar 4-0 last night.

Cerny opened the scoring in the latter game, smashing a stunning effort into the bottom corner from distance.

With 79 minutes on the clock, the on-loan Gers man was substituted.

And it seems like he was NOT at all happy about it.

With the Czech Republic coasting to victory 3-0 up, boss Hasek decided to bring on Jan Kuchta in place of Cerny.

As he made his way off, the 28-year old appeared to be annoyed with the referee who was trying to get him to exit the field of play quickly.

Cerny threw his arms up in the air before jogging off.

While the TV cameras didn’t capture anything else particularly untoward, Hasek has subsequently revealed that Cerny was ‘sour’ about being taken off.

And the Czech gaffer has even revealed the winger said SORRY to his teammates for his reaction.

But he also defended Cerny as an ’emotional’ player – and pointed to his apparent refusal to be substituted during a recent Rangers match.

Hasek said: “He (Cerny) was sour for about two minutes, then he apologised.

“That’s just the way he is. He’s an emotional player.

“That’s just the way he is. He’s an emotional player.

“I watched them play with Rangers against Fenerbahce.

“At half-time of extra time, they already announced on TV that they were going to substitute him.

“He was getting treatment, found out and returned to the field. Nobody understood, but he didn’t substitute.

“That’s just how Vaclav is, he doesn’t want to leave the field. What was worse was that several players didn’t want to.”

Cerny headed on international duty on the back of Rangers’ 3-2 win over Celtic.

The winger caused a major stir after he sprayed water in the direction of a section of the home supporters as he celebrated Hamza Igamane‘s late winner.

Police Scotland confirmed they were looking into the situation, while Cerny himself branded the reaction to the moment ‘absurd.’
