RTE Fair City viewers were all left saying the same thing as Damien made his return to Carrigstown tonight.
On tonight’s episode, preparations got under way for Cass’s big birthday, but does anyone know what age he is?
Maired and Dean’s affair came to an end tonight[/caption]

Dean was left heartbroken when Maired ended things between them[/caption]
Dean, struggling with his relationship with Mairead coming to an end, made one last attempt to reach out.
He decided to question her, asking if they still had a future together and promised to wait for her, no matter how long it took.
But, Dean never got a definite answer from her as Damien’s arrival home scuppered Mairead’s reply.
She later hid her guilt when Damien wanted to buy Dean a thank you gift for his support.
Dean was thrown when he received Damien’s elaborate thank you gift.
And was also left heartbroken when Mairead told him she must stick with Damien.
RTE Fair City viewers all flocked to social media to express their opinions on Damien’s arrival home.
One viewer gushed: “Dean left holding a heart in his hands and handing it to Damien. (Absolute cinema.)”
Sinead joked: “Welcome home Damo, I’ve been sleeping with your mate but here’s some balloons.”
Another viewer added: “Roll out the red carpet Damo is on the way.”
Elsewhere in Carraigstown, Melanie struggled with Joan’s workload as she stressed over her exams.
Meanwhile, Mondo asked Joan to give Melanie some pointers for the exam, as a scrambling Gwen tried to get on her good side.
Gwen got an idea after Emma insisted that James is a “good guy”; she buttered him up to lend her money and was pleasantly surprised when he agreed.
Still making her way through her workload, Melanie’s confidence took a hit when Joan sprang a pop-quiz on her.

But James wasn’t as forthcoming with his money as Gwen thought, and she was peeved when he refused her loan request and made it clear he won’t be scammed.
She later stunned James when, in a bid to enact revenge, she tanked his online interview.
Later, Melanie was inspired when Kira suggested a solution to her exam problems.
However, the idea was a misstep, as she asked Joan to fudge the dates on her work experience to avoid having to sit the exams.
BIG BIRTHDAY
Elsewhere on the episode, Cass’s bubble was burst when he learned his family had arranged a small get-together for his birthday with only family invited.
While Kira, Orla and Sean bickered over how old Cass was turning, Nikki felt excluded when she learned there wasn’t an invitation extended to her.
At his party, Cass sent his family into a spin when he revealed that they had gotten his age wrong, and he was actually 85.
And finally, the Cassidy’s brainstormed over how to correct their birthday fumble.
