Colter Shaw is gearing up to solve another near-impossible case in the season 2 Tracker finale. New details have emerged about what’s to come in the final episode of the amazing season, as questions continue to rise about the absence of one popular character.
What’s the ‘Tracker’ Season 2 Finale About?
The season 2 Tracker finale is titled “Echo Ridge.” The synopsis of the episode said, “Colter returns to Echo Ridge to investigate a diner owner’s disappearance, only to uncover a decades-old kidnapping and a shocking family secret, on the season two finale of the CBS Original series TRACKER,” per a CBS press release.
Who Will Appear in the ‘Tracker’ Season 2 Finale?
We can likely expect the usual suspects to appear in the Tracker season 2 finale, including Justin Hartley and members of his team, Fiona Rene, who plays Reenie Greene, and Velma Bruin, played by Abby McEnany. So far, no additional casting announcements have been made specifically about the finale, but each episode tends to have a handful of guest stars.
It was previously announced that Pej Vahdat was cast as Reenie’s big shot client Leonard Sharf. He first appeared in the season 2 episode titled “Exodus.”
There’s also still no word on if Eric Graise’s character, Bobby Exley, will return for the finale, or if his absence from the show will continue. He missed multiple episodes in a row during season 2 as the character was said to be dealing with a family matter, which came as a shock for some fans. His cousin Randy, played by Chris Lee, began helping Colter out with his technology needs in the second half of season 2.
Robin Weigert, who played Teddi Bruin in season 1, departed the show in season 2, so we are not expecting her back for the finale.
When Is the ‘Tracker’ Season 2 Finale?
The Tracker season 2 finale will air on Sunday, May 11, 2025, on CBS at 8 p.m. ET and streaming on Paramount+.
Is ‘Tracker’ Coming Back for Season 3?
Colter and the crew will be returning to CBS for season 3 of Tracker. The next installment of the show will air during the 2025-2026 broadcast season. So far, the official air date has not yet been revealed.
“I just wanted to congratulate everyone on season 2; our numbers are up from season 1. Something like six percent or eight percent or 11 percent or something like that. That hardly ever happens,” Justin told his cast and crew in an Instagram clip shared on his account on February 20, 2025, about the show’s renewal. “It’s all thanks to you guys, and because of all the hard work you’ve done on season 2, they have picked us up for season 3. They didn’t give us information as far as like the number of episodes, but it’s somewhere between 18 and 22, so that’s pretty good.”
“And also, I just want to say thank you because this show doesn’t have a season 2 without you,” the This Is Us alum told his colleagues in the video. “This show doesn’t have a successful season 1 without you. This show certainly doesn’t have a season 3 without you, so thank you for all your hard work and dedication and effort and time and for just being badass, lovely, nice, human beings that are talented, so thank you.”
