CORRIGAN PARK has been confirmed as the venue for Antrim’s controversial Ulster SFC quarter-final against Armagh.
Due to concerns over ‘health and safety standards’ at the Belfast ground, provincial bosses booked the game for Páirc Esler in Newry.

But the Saffrons have won their fight to face the All-Ireland champions on home ground after the Ulster Council declared themselves ‘satisfied with further assurances given by Antrim GAA’ regarding the suitability of Corrigan Park to host the fixture.
A row erupted when Andy McEntee’s side made it clear that they were willing to boycott the clash with the Orchard if forced to concede home advantage.
Kieran McGeeney’s men will now head to Corrigan for their first Championship outing as Sam Maguire holders, with throw-in set for 12.30pm on Saturday, April 12.
In a statement, Ulster’s Competitions Control Committee added: “Corrigan Park has a certified capacity of 4,000 people.
“As ticket demand is likely to heavily outnumber availability, there will be no ticket concessions for this fixture.
“The early throw-in time will also allow Armagh supporters to attend the Lidl Ladies NFL Division 1 Final between Armagh and Kerry, which is being played in Croke Park later that day, should they so wish.
“Ulster CCC further reiterated their desire for work to commence at Casement Park as soon as possible.”
