The race will begin at 8:30 am on Sunday morning from O’Connell Street, with runners starting in waves to help manage the flow of participants.

Wave 1 (orange) will start at 8:30am, followed by Wave 2 (green) at 8:45am and Wave 3 (blue) at 9:00am.

From O’Connell Street, runners will head northeast through Ballybough and pass by Croke Park before continuing on to Whitehall.

The route then moves east along Killester and Howth Road, where participants can enjoy views of Dublin Bay.

Runners will pass through Raheny and St Anne’s Park, then head southwest along Clontarf before finishing in the city centre near Guild Street.

What public transport diversions will be in place?

And for those attending the event, it is advised to use public transport as road closures and diversions are set to take place.

Bus diversions will be in place for Dublin Bus, Bus Éireann and Go-Ahead Ireland services.

This will affect routes in areas such as O’Connell Street, Malahide Road, Coast Road, Howth Road, Drumcondra, Santry, Gardiner Street and Clontarf.

Luas services will also experience disruptions, with closures and loops on both the Red and Green lines.

The Green Line will be rerouted, with services terminating at St Stephen’s Green (northbound) and Dominic Street (southbound).

And passengers are being advised that the Red Line will operate only as far east as Smithfield.

What road closures will take place?

Several road closures will also be in effect throughout the city to accommodate the event and ensure the safety of participants.

These closures include O’Connell Street southbound from 3am to 1 pm, O’Connell Street northbound from 6:30 am to 10:30am and Parnell Street from 8am to 10:30am.

What’s more, closures will affect the North Circular Road from 8:15 am to 10:30 am, Drumcondra Road from 7:30am to 10:55am and Howth Road from 9am to 12pm.

Aside from Guild Street, all other road closures in the city are scheduled to end by 2pm on race day.

Race organisers are now encouraging public transport users to check any specific service changes ahead of time.

The race will impact public transportation and road access, so it’s important to check for updates from Dublin Bus, Luas and other transport providers.
