The first Uncharted film, starring Tom Holland, leaves a lot of space for speculation for the next film in the franchise. The movie has an open ending and raises more questions than it gives answers.
The 2022 film got a decent reception from fans of the Uncharted games as well as the non-gamer community. The sequel might have a gold mine in its hands if the creators decide upon a great storyline.

The storyline is one of the most critical aspects of a film; the narrative drives a story forward and keeps the audience hooked, especially in the thriller setting that Uncharted games have always opted for. Similarly, Uncharted 2 could also focus on telling a great story instead of making everything larger than life.
Uncharted 2 could bring Sam into the foreground
There is no telling Nathan Drake’s story without talking about his brother Sam, who played a huge role without even appearing much in the first film. His arc is integral to Uncharted’s world, and there is a high chance that the next film will shed light on his perspective as well.
Nate can not be sidelined in Uncharted; however, similar to one of the recent games, A Thief’s End, the next film in line could talk more about the relationship between the two brothers and take them on yet another exciting trip across the world, hunting for treasure.
In Uncharted: A Thief’s End, we get to see snippets from the lives of the two brothers living in an orphanage, and then both the brothers go on a trip of a lifetime. Nathan Drake has left behind this life now, but Sam’s involvement in a hunt compels him to take up arms again. This game’s story deserves to be explored more.
The story then follows the two brothers’ journey. The next film could cash in on the storyline from A Thief’s End since it turned out to be one of the best games in the franchise and had an enriching narrative, largely because of Sam’s involvement.
Uncharted’s ending leaves a lot of questions unanswered

After the final battle in the first film, Nate gets to know that his brother is alive and in a prison currently; he writes yet another postcard to Sam requesting him to watch his back, which clearly indicates that the drama is far from over.
In a mid-credits scene we see Nate meeting a man working for Roman from whom he wants a Nazi map in exchange for a ring. Although he tries to betray him, Nate is eventually saved by Sully. Their escape comes to a halt when an unseen figure corners them. Could this unseen figure be Sam?
Sam was absent for most of the story in the first film and was considered to be dead. However, towards the end, we get to know that he is in fact alive; now his sudden arrival in the narrative needs to be explored in the next film. What do you think Uncharted 2 will be about?
