Roman Reigns’ Worst WrestleMania Match of All Time

Roman Reigns has been a hot topic in present times, and his storyline as a tribal chief, along with Paul Heyman and the impeccable title defense, will be something to remember. Roman Reigns, continuing the storyline of the tribal chief, will also feature in WrestleMania 41 in a triple-threat match against Seth Rollins and CM Punk.

However, the Tribal Chief also had a fair share of bad WrestleMania matches in WWE so far. Against all odds, one of his worst matches was against a WWE legend, the Undertaker. Although it turned out to be one of his worst, it’s undeniable that it was one of the biggest matchups he had secured so far in his WWE career.

At WrestleMania 33, the Tribal Chief was still an emerging face in WWE, while the Undertaker was already a legend, and the crowd cheered him. The matchup was promising, but the in-ring action failed to be impressive according to WrestleMania standards.

Roman Reigns faces the Undertaker at WrestleMania 33

The Undertaker, at that point, was already a WWE legend and was in his last days as a WWE superstar. The WrestleMania 33 appearance of the Undertaker came after a heavy loss by Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30 that broke his impeccable 20-0 streak.

Although the matchup looked promising initially, it turned out to be a no-show. The Undertaker was in his last years of WWE as an active superstar, and his age reflected that in the fight as he looked tired and out.

The match started with the Undertaker throwing Roman Reigns out of the ring, and then the same thing happened with the Undertaker. As both wrestlers were trying to bring energy to the match, there were some moves that were botched.

At one point, Roman Reigns tried to lift the Undertaker but failed horribly. The good part about this match was Roman’s victory. However, the crowd didn’t even celebrate it because they were more disappointed to see that the prime Undertaker days were over.

Even after the match, people were applauding when the Undertaker walked off, not when Roman left the ring.

This may have been one of the worst matches of his WrestleMania career. Still, there is another WrestleMania appearance for Roman Reigns that hasn’t turned out well, even after a victory in that match over “The Game.”

Roman Reigns versus Triple H at WrestleMania 32

Triple H defended his WWE heavyweight championship against the up-and-coming popular wrestler Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 32. Stephanie McMahon gave a long, evil introduction to start the segment, and the entire stage was designed for Triple H’s entrance, contrasting with Roman’s simple entrance, making Triple H the clear focus.

Although Roman Reigns secured victory over Triple H, Stephanie McMahon constantly interrupted the match, and it felt a bit stretched. Her constant intervention got her speared inside the ring, and Roman secured a victory, but Triple H was already a WWE legend, and the crowd resonated more with Triple H than Roman.

Though the Tribal Chief had to go through rough patches in his WrestleMania career, it is far from over. Roman will close the main event of WrestleMania 41, and his fight against Seth Rollins and CM Punk would be an interesting matchup as it has the potential to upscale WrestleMania standards.
