LET’S be honest, nobody likes cleaning the toilet.
Of all the household chores, it’s the one many of us dread and put off as long as possible.

But cleaning experts have come up with a hack that takes the elbow grease out of the hated chore.
And the best bit is it costs pennies.
In fact, you probably already have the ingredients in the house already.
Laura Marsden, cleaning expert at Marigold, says: “When tackling a toilet clean, you may be tempted to reach for the bleach, but if you’re looking for a chemical-free alternative, grab a lemon.
“Always protect your hands when cleaning your toilet by popping on a pair of gloves, such as the Marigold Longer Bathroom Gloves.
“Specially designed for bathroom cleaning, these gloves have longer cuffs for extra protection – plus special rolled edges on the cuffs and slim fitted wrists, so they stay up in use.”
Laura says you simply squeeze the juice from the lemon all around the inside of your toilet bowl.
She added: “Leave it to work for a few minutes , before grabbing your toilet brush and giving the area a good scrub.
“The acid from the lemon helps to break down dirt and limescale and can kill bacteria.
“So, not only will it look sparkling clean, it’ll smell good too.
“Lemons can be bought from as little as 30p from the supermarket, making this hack great for your pocket, as well as eco-friendly.”
Another cleaning whizz recently shared her hack for cleaning taps – it only costs 15p.
