After the record-breaking success of the MCU’s Deadpool & Wolverine, Wade Wilson and Logan are all set to team up once again in Marvel’s upcoming comic series. However, the story has a twist as the comics would also feature a father-daughter theme with the two mutants teaming up with their daughters.
The primary ongoing Deadpool title will release its 15th issue in the coming June. It also acts as the milestone Deadpool #350. This will be the last of this title as Marvel Comics will officially relaunch it Wolverines and Deadpools.

The upcoming Deadpool #15 is expected to end the title with a bang. It will feature the much-anticipated showdown between Deadpool and Death Grip. Following that, the writers Cody Ziglar and artist Rogê Antônio will continue the blood-fest in the new three-issue limited title, Wolverines and Deadpools.
The story will pick up from the Merc with a Mouth’s solo run and continue to build on the chemistry between Wade Wilson and his daughter Ellie. The latter became a hot topic of discussion in the comics when she temporarily became Deadpool after Wade Wilson’s death.
Now it will be interesting to see how the father-daughter duo can show off their skills together in a team, along with Wolverine and Laura Kinney.
The title of the comic series, Wolverines and Deadpools, differentiates the run from the other team-ups between the mutant duo. Seemingly, Marvel wants to deep dive into the characters of Ellie and Laura Kinney, and we will get to know how they took over the iconic mantles from their respective fathers.
Cody Ziglar elaborated that it was a dream-come-true moment for him to deep dive into the relationship between Wade and Ellie. He is now too excited to explore the dynamics between these mutant father-daughter duos (via Bleeding Cool).
The past 15 issues I’ve spent writing Wade and Ellie have been a dream come true. Getting to finish out their journey with two of the coolest mutants is just a cherry on top—I can’t explain just how much I look forward to exploring the father-daughter dynamics with these four!
Besides Wade and Ellie, Laura’s dynamic with Logan has also been a topic of discussion in recent years. She has countless kills to her name and proves why she is the ideal successor to the Best There is. With so many badass characters on board, this comic series is expected to come with a lot of blood and slashes.
Are Deadpool and Wolverine teaming up again in the MCU soon?
The Marvel Comics fans will surely have a good time with the Wolverines and Deadpools run, but there is a major question mark if the mutant duo will return to the MCU soon.
Recently, Marvel Studios shocked the fans when they revealed the Avengers: Doomsday cast through a long “chair-pulling” live stream. However, it was surprising to see that Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman were absent from the reveal.
According to The Numbers, Deadpool & Wolverine grossed $1.338 billion worldwide. Previously, it has been reported several times that Hugh Jackman is not done playing Logan in the MCU. This led to many fans expecting his appearance alongside Deadpool directly in Avengers: Secret Wars.
The absence of Ryan Reynolds and Jackman from the upcoming Marvel movie is also strange because Channing Tatum, who made his MCU debut as Gambit in Deadpool 3, is also set to reprise his role.
Besides Gambit, the OG X-Men cast comprising James Marsden, Halle Berry, and the others are also returning in Doomsday. It makes it more evident for Wolverine and Deadpool to make an appearance sooner or latter in the Avengers movies.
Recently, scooper MyTimeToShineHello has also reported that the Adamantium-clawed mutant will appear in Avengers: Doomsday. With so many characters from Fox’s X-Men franchise on board, the project can also be an Avengers vs X-Men story in disguise.
Avengers: Doomsday will release on May 1, 2026, while Wolverines and Deadpools #1 will go on sale on July 2, 2025.
