Spider-Man 3 Star Topher Grace Recut the Star Wars Prequels into an 85-Minute Film, Lucasfilm’s Lawyers Won’t Let You See It

There are some good things in the world that have to be deleted for legal and copyright reasons. Some of these things end up being the finest in their field, and a Star Wars recut from Topher Grace was one of those things.

The actor, who starred in Spider-Man 3 in the role of Eddie Brock/Venom, made a hard edit of the Star Wars prequel movies into an 85-minute film. For legal and copyright reasons, however, you will never get to see it!

Topher Grace made a hardcore edit of the Star Wars prequel films

Known for being an actor in Hollywood, Topher Grace is also known for being a damn good editor when it comes to videos and especially, the Star Wars franchise. He made an edit of Star Wars: Episode I, II, and III into a single 85-minute film!

The three films were combined by Topher Grace into one single 85-minute film that depicted the mighty rise, the descent, and the birth of Darth Vader (via /Film). What’s even more commendable is that the film was titled Star Wars: Episode III.5 – The Editor Strikes Back.

The sad thing is that Topher Grace was only able to screen it once in theaters, and then the movie had to be taken down due to copyright and legal issues from Lucasfilm.

Although the legal issues and copyright infringements did manage to make the film unavailable for the whole world, it didn’t dampen Topher Grace’s spirit one bit. The actor/editor made another edit for the Star Wars franchise, and that trailer… is available on YouTube!

Star Wars: Episode III.5 is not available to be showcased anywhere, but some of the other works of Topher Grace for the Star Wars franchise are available to stream in some places.

Naturally, the edits are purely for the sake of fun, and Grace doesn’t have any intentions of monetization or anything. His edits have been taken down, but that doesn’t stop him from going ahead.

In 2014, Grace made a trailer for the franchise again and called it Star Wars: Always. That trailer is available on YouTube, and we have brought it here for you:

Of course, the edit goes hard as always, and Grace has yet another powerful trailer in his portfolio to showcase. The dedication just goes on to show how much the world loves the Star Wars franchise.

On the professional side of things, Topher Grace has been doing quite well with starring in the 2024 film Heretic and the 2025 film Flight Risk. The actor currently has two upcoming projects to his name in various stages of development.
