Travis Kelce‘s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole definitely isn’t envious of his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift!
The social media star, 33, revealed her dating rules in the premiere episode of her new podcast, The Pre-Game, on April 3, and it seems like she’s looking for a romance that’s more low-key than her ex’s current relationship.
When asked whether “dating someone who is in the public eye” has changed how she approaches relationships, Nicole insisted that fans “won’t ever see me with a man ever again until I’m married with kids.”

“I don’t think that I ever want to publicly date another man until I am absolutely sure that they are my long-term person,” the sports reporter continued. “I want to protect the things that mean most to me, and sometimes when you’re a little too open and you’re a little too transparent, you open yourself up to a world of opinion, a world of entitlement.”
Nicole, who had an on-again, off-again relationship with the NFL star between 2017 and 2022, said she doesn’t want to speak publicly about any romantic prospects.
“People want answers. People think that you owe them an explanation about every single thing in your relationship, every up and down and happy or sad moment,” she said. Nicole added that she is “dating and hiding” it right now. “I’m the queen of a private room in a back room in a corner closet. And I have no shame in it,” she added.
Nicole and Kelce started dating in 2017 after connecting on Instagram and briefly split in 2020 before reconciling and later ending their relationship for good in 2022.
Nicole opened up about her breakup with Kelce in October 2024, revealing how splitting from him before his relationship with Swift affected her. “I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and just online chaos doesn’t impact me,” Kayla revealed on the Unapologetically Angel podcast. “You could go to my most recent post and it’ll be people debating why I’m worthless and how I’ll never be a talented person.”
Kelce and Swift have been dating since the summer of 2023.
