She said, “I live by the rule of Main apni favourite hoon (I am my own favorite). That’s the only way every woman should live their life. Self-belief is everything. Whatever you think of yourself, you have to constantly reassure yourself. When you do that every day, it becomes easy, and then others start believing in you. But really, what others think doesn’t matter. At least, that’s how I’ve always lived my life.”
Kareena also reflected on her evolving relationship with food and her body over the years. “I’ve always been confident. My relationship with food has always been amazing. I’ve never tried to starve myself to look thin. I am comfortable in my own skin,” she shared.
The actress admitted that after the birth of her son Jeh, there was a fleeting moment when she thought about getting back into shape. “But it was just for a second. I was still like, ‘I’m fine. I look fabulous.’ I had put on 25 kgs, but I wasn’t stressed about it.”
She added, “My relationship with food in the last 10-15 years has been so simple and easy. I don’t want to experiment; I love the fact that it comforts me and makes me feel happy. That’s the most important thing for me.”
Kareena also shared her love for her comfort food. “If I don’t eat khichdi for 2-3 days, I start craving it. I can’t sleep without it. I eat khichdi five times a week and I am very happy with it.”
When it comes to staying fit, Kareena spoke about her commitment to staying active. “I enjoy walking, even if I can’t go outside. A 30-40 minute walk is very important for me. Twice a week, I also do yoga. I love it. I don’t exercise to lose weight. I do it because I wake up in the morning and look forward to it. It helps activate my brain, and it makes me feel great.”
