Triple H’s WWE is welcoming all those who left the company years ago for the rival organization AEW. He welcomed back Andrade a year back. There are rumors of Malakai Black’s return as well. As this rumor started to swirl around, WWE and Triple H have acquired another recently released AEW talent. Miro was recently seen in the WWE Headquarters and PWInsider has reported that he has signed a contract with them. Miro was last seen on AEW TV/PPV defeating Andrade at Worlds End 2023.
The wrestler had a lengthy run in WWE as well. He was a part of the roster for 7 years. Rusev won titles, became insanely popular, but then left because of the frustrations he had with WWE creative. What was the creative direction Vince McMahon took before he left?

Vince McMahon got Rusev involved in a storyline where he got “cucked”
In the fall of 2019, rumors began to circulate that Rusev and Lana would be leaving the company. However, Rusev triumphantly returned to defeat Mike Kanellis in a squash match during one Monday Night Raw episode. He returned in amazing shape and looked amazing, but surprisingly, he was by himself.

Rusev had successfully secured a match for the Universal Championship against Seth Rollins in Monday Night Raw’s main event. But halfway into the championship bout, Bobby Lashley’s song started to play at random.
Fans were unsure of what to anticipate from Lashley as he made his injury comeback during the Raw season premiere. What happened next was unimaginable
Lashley introduced Lana, Rusev’s wife! The WWE Universe was left perplexed by what was happening as the two of them stood at the top of the ramp, passionately kissing.
It was indeed one of the most heartbreaking kisses of all time. Yet, it was a bit funny too with Seth, Randy Orton, and Baron Corbin looking on. Rusev and Bobby Lashley/Lana had a months-long feud which was filled with divorce segments, arrests, fake pregnancies, etc. Lashley came out on top in their match at the TLC PPV.
It all led to the wedding. This was never going to work out, as anyone who has ever attended a WWE wedding would attest to. Lashley’s first wife and Lana’s first spouse (not Rusev) both interrupted, but it didn’t end there.
Liv Morgan made a comeback to WWE to participate in this plot, asserting that she and Lana had also been lovers(reminds us of something). The wedding was ruined when Rusev attacked Bobby Lashley after bursting out of a cake, adding to the chaos caused by Lana and Morgan fighting around the ring.
Rusev never ended up getting the better of Lashley before he left the company. In his last televised WWE match, he lost a tag match against the “All Mighty”. He was released in April 2020 and showed up as Miro on AEW TV in June 2020.
Triple H has signed numerous former AEW talents
Triple H has also signed other former AEW talents this year. Penta debuted in January and has already created waves among WWE fans. He is in a storyline with Intercontinental champion Bron Breakker and Judgement Day members, Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio.

Meanwhile, on NXT, Ricky Starks(now Saints) just became the new North American Champion. He defeated an AEW alum, Shawn Spears and got attacked post-match by another former AEW wrestler, Ethan Page.
WWE has already released vignettes of Penta’s brother, Rey Fenix who will debut on this week’s Smackdown. Malakai Black has also got vignettes playing on Smackdown.
Triple H has brought back his favorites and more in an effort to shore up the roster. Will the Miro gamble work for him? Only time can tell.
