$40 Million Rich Anthony Edwards Paid Only $1.08 Million For Child Support, It Looks Infinitely Small Compared to Tiger Woods’ Divorce Settlement

The celeb life is full of drama, controversies, and scandals, and well, Tiger Woods knows it all too well. The American professional golfer is a stalwart when it comes to his ‘job’, but his personal life is a wreck, leading to one of the biggest divorce settlements in history.

Well, while Woods continues his career today, an NBA star has been making rounds on the internet for similar legal obligations. The rumored amount that Anthony Edwards paid in child support looks trivial when placed side by side with the financial blows suffered by other athletes.

Anthony Edwards is a promising young basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves, but lately, it is his personal life that has been drawing the most attention. As Newsbreak breaks down, the NBA player is currently the center of three legal battles relating to child support and paternity.

One of these cases is with an influencer named Ayesha Howard, with whom he reportedly shares a daughter, Aubri Summers Howard, born last year in October. Reportedly, while Edwards seems to have no interest in custody or visitation rights, he is willing to pay child support.

Although their child support battle has been a matter of contention itself (via InTouch) recently, it was reported that they have reached a settlement. Several social media posts have emerged claiming that the $40 million rich NBA star has reportedly paid all his child support, covering 18 years’ worth of payments (via Celebrity Net Worth). Moreover, the alleged child support amount is just $1,080,000, or $5,000 a month.

However, Howard denied these reports, dismissing them as rumors. In a statement to The Shade Room, she said: There are no court documents, motions, or proceedings that have occurred, nor have I been offered or agreed to such terms. She later denied the same claims on her Instagram account. Meanwhile, Edwards is not only a father to four kids (see InTouch), but he reportedly seems to publicly celebrate only one of his kids, daughter Aislynn, with girlfriend Shannon Jackson.

Anthony Edwards’ rumored settlement is nothing compared to Tiger Woods’ divorce settlements

While the rumored child support settlement paid by Anthony Edwards has not been proven true so far, it is nothing compared to the financial settlements other athletes had with their other exes, be it child support or divorce. And if we are talking about financial hits, Tiger Woods‘ divorce settlement remains one of the most infamous in sports history.

The golfer was married to Swedish model Elin Nordegren for five years until their eventual divorce in 2010 following a s*x scandal and infidelity. One of the wealthiest sports stars of all time, but things between them ended when the golf legend publicly accepted being unfaithful (via Reuters).

While there were reports that Nordegren would be getting $750 million as a divorce settlement, it was revealed later on that she was paid a whopping $100 million, which is $20 million for each year of their marriage (via TMZ). Needless to say, it is one of the most expensive celebrity divorces in history.

Meanwhile, Tiger Woods ‘ life is headed to the screen as Amazon MGM Studios has acquired the rights to Kevin Cook’s The Tiger Slam: The Inside Story of the Greatest Golf Ever Played. To be directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and in talks to be produced by Obama’s Higher Ground and Irwin Winkler (via The Guardian), the film will likely chronicle the golfer’s life from being a youth star to being a golfing legend, as Cook’s book details.
