Residents of 115 homes are expected to return to their houses in the inner area today, marking a hopeful turn after recent disruptions.
According to Sin Chew Daily, Chairman of the Petaling District Disaster Management Committe Huzunul Khaidil Mohammed, shared positive news regarding the return of residents along 1/3a and 1/3b Road.
To inspect whether the internal wiring is undamaged
He emphasized that if the internal electricity wiring of homes in the affected area is undamaged, residents may return as early as today.
He also told media outlets that the inspection process will be carried out in three phases, with agencies such as the State Grid and the local taxation bureau participating in the effort.
Technicians will begin inspections at the 41 units along 1/3a Road. As long as the internal wiring is confirmed to be safe, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and the Inland Revenue Board will restore the water and electricity supply,” he said.
He added that once the checks along 1/3a Road are completed, technicians will proceed to inspect homes along 1/3b Road.
If everything goes smoothly, 115 households should be able to return home later today.
