The cast of The White Lotus season three have gone above and beyond to keep who dies in the finale a secret but, at the last hurdle, they may have given away a little too much about what happens.
The cast, alongside creator Mike White and producer David Bernad, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter all about season three and dropped some major clues about this season’s The White Lotus death.
One thing that’s important to note, several cast members said they do not know what happens in the finale, thanks to a brilliant cover-up job by the showrunners.
“This season, our script supervisor wrote these crazy fake endings that we distributed on set,” White revealed. “We didn’t distribute the real last script. People on set didn’t know, except the actors, obviously.”
This likely means that we can rule out three characters — Saxon, Piper and Victoria Ratliff — because the actors who play them seem to be pretty clueless about the finale.

“The finale just needs to be out already! There was a lot to keep secret. I’m still feeling a bit suffocated. And I don’t even know what happens,” Sarah Catherine Hook, who plays Piper, said.
Patrick Schwarzenegger, who plays Piper’s controversial older brother Saxon, seemed equally out of the loop, saying, “I’m just excited to watch the finale with the rest of the world because I actually have no idea what happens.”
Hook and Schwarzenegger’s onscreen mom, Parker Posey, does seem to have gotten the real script but says she “forgot” who dies in the finale… so, we’re guessing it’s not her character, Victoria! “I forgot who died. It was so stressful when I read it. The dark stuff, I blazed through,” she said.
This means that Victoria does appear to be involved in the death scene in some way but her oldest children are not. We could take this a step further and rule out the rest of the Ratliff clan, the patriarch, Timothy (Jason Isaacs), and youngest son, Lochlan (Sam Nivola) but that might be jumping to too many conclusions.
Those who do know who dies in the season three finale shared some pretty revealing clues. Jon Gries, who plays Gary/Greg, assures us that the only thing we can count on is a twist. “Whatever you think you know, you’re going to get it wrong,” he said. But, he does seem to be in the loop so Gary/Greg is undoubtedly involved in some way.
His onscreen girlfriend Charlotte Le Bon, who plays Chloe, is also in the know and may have shared the biggest clue of all.
“People are going to hate Mike White,” she said. This strongly implies that a beloved character might take a bullet in the finale or at least rules out some of the show’s most despised characters, sorry Gary/Greg!
In a show with characters as reprehensible as those who come to stay at The White Lotus, there actually aren’t that many characters people love but there are certainly a few! Aimee Lou Wood has stolen hearts this season as Chelsea, Natasha Rothwell was so loved as Belinda in season one that White brought her back in season three.
Then, of course, there is season three newcomer Mook, who is played by Thai singer Lisa. The Blackpink member is possibly the most famous star to ever appear in The White Lotus and it’s safe to say her fans might just hate White if anything happened to her!
