
One person was reportedly k!lled while three others got injured when members of rival groups popularly known as Sara-Suka, clashed around the Yantifa community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. The latest clashes which occurred on Tuesday evening, April 1, 2025, have caused confusion around the area. Residents said the members of the rival groups were seen carrying machetes attacking one another, a development that forced people to run for their lives. Lawan Chizo, a vigilante in Jos, who confirmed the latest incident told Daily Trust that security agencies including soldiers were deployed to restore law and order in the area. Chizo said though there is still fear in the minds of residents, normalcy had been restored in the area as of press time. The state commissioner of police has called for an emergency meeting with leaders of the affected communities to nip in the bud the activities of Sara Suka in the area.
