What is the one Hidetaka Miyazaki game that has been locked behind the walls of exclusivity forever, and finally had the chance to break free with the Nintendo Switch 2 coming out? You guessed it right: it’s everybody’s favorite Soulsborne title, Bloodborne.
While the expectations were already low, it would have been pretty nice to see the now-decade-old game make an appearance on a different platform. It potentially could have been Sony’s way of telling Xbox how the war is far from over, despite Microsoft’s effort to bring it to a close.

Hidetaka Miyazaki’s Bloodborne skips out on dinner at Nintendo Switch 2 Direct
Those familiar with the tale of Hollow Knight: Silksong would know how it feels to wait for the impossible to happen. The iconic PlayStation exclusive recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, and there is no limit to the joy fans would have felt if it were to get a release on any other platform.
Unfortunately, as it is with Silksong, Bloodborne is a lost cause, eaten up by Sony’s greed. The brains behind the game at FromSoftware stated in an interview earlier how PlayStation 4 was the only console at the time that could have handled the graphic fidelity of the game, a boon that would soon end up choking the whole franchise dead in a few years.
Fortunately, while not Bloodborne, Elden Ring, another massively popular title by Hidetaka Miyazaki, has seized the opportunity for now and is now officially headed for a release on the Nintendo Switch 2. It is also not the only game by FromSoftware that will be making an appearance on the much-anticipated console.
FromSoftware to release The DuskBloods on Nintendo Switch 2

While we could not have Bloodborne release on the upcoming console, thanks to Sony’s weird obsessiveness with first-party IPs, FromSoftware has something else in store for fans. Coming in 2026, The Duskbloods is an upcoming title by the studio that will be exclusively made available on Nintendo Switch 2.
The recent Direct gives just a peek into what players can expect out of this new project. Moreover, the description of the official teaser released on YouTube reveals crucial information about how the game will be multiplayer.
You heard that right. With Elden Ring Nightreign lined right up, FromSoftware is making a dive yet again into the pool of multiplayer titles. However, this time around, it will only be made available on one platform, and that is the Nintendo Switch 2, coming out with 2 different bundles at launch.
