Pile Burning near Challenge

Wedneday firefighters are planning to treat approximately 40 acres of piles near Challenge in the Dry Creek area south of the town.

North winds are forecasted for the remainder of the week. Good smoke dispersal is expected. Firefighters are working to minimize smoke impacts to nearby communities during pile burning operations.

If conditions remain within prescription, ignitions are expected to continue Thursday.
