Right now, The White Lotus fans are just one episode away from finding out what happens in the long-awaited season 3 finale. Who will end up dead? Is anyone becoming a murderer? But as we all get ready to watch the show unfold (or potentially unravel!), it seems Aimee Lou Wood, who’s playing Chelsea in the HBO hit, is already gearing up for her next role.
According to a few eagle-eyed fans on social media, Wood, who first rose to fame in Netflix’s Sex Education, might be playing model and George Harrison’s ex-wife Patti Boyd in the recently announced The Beatles biopics.
Speculation around Wood’s casting as Boyd began with her interacting with a gallery of black and white photos of Boyd and Harrison in 1966. “Pattie Boyd & George Harrison in Barbados on their Honeymoon, 1966💌🐚,” the caption reads on Instagram.
In the photos, in addition to some stunning portraits of the two, Harrison is seen playing the guitar to Boyd, and they’re seen enjoying the beach together. Per one eagle-eyed TikTok user, Wood not only liked the post but reshared it on her Instagram Story without much explanation.

Another clue of Wood’s casting came from another fan on X. According to the user, Wood recently followed actor Joseph Quinn, who is confirmed to be playing Harrison, on Instagram.
So, are these clues enough to say that Wood was cast? Probably not. But with these clues and knowing how her star will only rise after White Lotus, we can surely envision it.
For now, all we have confirmed about The Beatles biopics are the main stars: Paul Mescal will be Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson will play John Lennon, Barry Keoghan will play Ringo Starr and Quinn will be Harrison.
The four separate movies, which will be directed by Sam Mendes, are set for theatrical release in April 2028. “We’re not just making one film about the Beatles — we’re making four,” Mendes said in the CinemaCon announcement, per The Hollywood Reporter. “Perhaps this is a chance to understand them a little more deeply.” Mendes also called the project “the first binge-able theatrical experience.”

As for Harrison and Boyd’s relationship, the former couple were together for 11 years after meeting in 1964. They got married in 1966, and Boyd filed for divorce in 1974.
“It was an extremely difficult decision of mine to make,” she told The Telegraph of their split in 2022. “I felt that I had to leave George because things were getting really out of hand. George was just being a different George. We had gone in different directions, basically. But we still loved each other… It’s just that I think he wanted to spread his wings and take advantage of being the handsome, famous, rich guy that he was and see how the girls feel about him.” Three years later, their divorce was finalized.
With Wood potentially playing Boyd, we’re more excited than ever to see their romance on the big screen!
