Let’s admit it. Marvel’s Iron Fist could have been a good series if fans had been a little more patient and Marvel Television had listened better to what fans were saying.
Despite the show being an average Marvel flick, it seems that lead actor Finn Jones isn’t done with the role of Danny Rand. The actor revealed that he wants another chance to prove the critics wrong for what they had said about him.
Finn Jones alleged that fans want him back as Iron Fist
The show debuted in 2017 and was a part of Marvel & Netflix’s original shows, which included series like Daredevil, The Punisher, and more. Although the latter two found worldwide fame and critical acclaim, the same cannot be said about Iron Fist.
There’s not exactly any valuable data to prove Finn Jones’ point, but the actor alleged that several fans want him to reprise the role of Iron Fist in the MCU in the near future.
According to his talks at the LaConve anime convention in Mexico (via IGN), the actor hinted that although everyone hated the show or called it average, not all hope was lost for him.
During his talks, Finn Jones mentioned that there was a “willingness for the fans to see” the actor return to the role of Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist, in the MCU. Although his words might be true or not, it seems that Jones really, really wants to return to this role.
Finn Jones wants to prove the critics wrong
It’s not that the Hollywood stars are tone-deaf to what the audiences and critics are saying about their performances or projects. Jones seems to take that criticism directly to the heart.
As his conversation continued at the convention, Jones stated that he knew what critics had said about him in the past. The actor begged that he needed just one chance to make it all right.
I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f*cking chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen.
Whether Jones will get to reprise his role as Iron Fist is in the hands of Kevin Feige and all the Marvel gods above. As for now, nothing can be confirmed or denied for Jones.
Iron Fist, which ran for two seasons, currently stands at a rating of 6.4/10 on IMDb and a low of 37% on Rotten Tomatoes. The show is available to stream on Disney+.
