Safe shelters, clean water, and medicine remain scarce. Amid this chaos, rebel group Three Brotherhood Alliance announced a one-month ceasefire. Fighting Myanmar’s military, the alliance pledged no attacks during this period, only engaging in self-defense. They aim to deliver urgent humanitarian aid to affected people quickly.
Wednesday marked national day of mourning for victims. With no electricity or adequate water supply, many in hard-hit areas sleep under open skies. Myanmar urgently needs international relief efforts and this ceasefire could pave the way.
